Welcome to the board Thorston!

BTW, watching you play on TV, I've noticed that your stroke fundamentals need some major work on some shots. PM me and I'll give you a lesson or two. :p

:p <~~~~ indicates much sarcasm or facetiousness

Looking forward to your future posts. :)

:) <~~~~ no sarcasm, just happy that you're onboard

-People, play more straight pool-

hi thorsten,

i wish more people played straight pool as well. unfortunately there aren't many true sportsmen around. more pool players in america are interested in the cheap thrills of nine ball than the beauty of intellegent and consistent table management.

straight pool is an art - pool players in america prefer cartoons.

i'd love to see you in a marathon match against someone like danny "mother goose" barouty, tony "silent assasin" robles or george "ginky" sancucci...two people i know are in love with the game and who can (and probably would) step up after a couple hundred points warm up.

Welcome

Glad to have you here Thorsten! Your game is excellent, your work ethic is legendary and your self discipline is incredible. You have all the things I don't! I look forward to your posts and would love to learn about your mental preparations for matches and then within the matches themselves.

I know, I know, the guy just started and I'm pumping him for information. I've been in sales for so long it's just automatic to ask for something.:D

Welcome Thorsten! Disregard my streak of conciousness....

Yo Thorsten

Glad u are here. I met u briefly at Valley Forge this spring. I asked u for an autograph and u asked if I knew who u were. I said Thorsten Holmann. U seemd surprised that I knew, and said that most here is the states thought u were Mika Inamonn (sp). U signed my pool Q. Thanx very much for being a nice person and taking the time for a fan.

Here at AZB, Charlie is famous as the one pool player who got a fly to pose on his cat's nose! :D

Glad to have you as a new member, Thorsten! ...and congrats on the 14.1 victory! :)

Welcome Thorsten, but you are kind of killing the action in The One's "AZ'ers straight pool high run"- thread. Oh, well - lets fight for the number two spot.

It's not really a competition against each other though, its about promoting straight pool and giving individuals an incentive to beat their own pb.

Actually I should probably add his 174 he made in Nj now he's a member, unless he's done better this year - thorsten?

Still plenty of players capable of beating that mark still though.

Wow Thorsten, it is great to have you as a member here.
Please don't feel shy about participating here. You are a great talent, and we are all lucky to eak out any tid bits of knowledge you care to pass our way.

Of course not now that Thorstens here :D.

I guess I better get to work on that 200. Maybe if I only shoot one ball a day for 200 days.........

I'm currently in New York City, practicing at Amsterdam almost every day. If anyone wants to stop by and say hi, now you know where to find me...Always open to reveal some straight pool secrets - hahaha

I don't blame you. I spoke to him once and he just looked at me like I had two heads or something.

He is just a little shy about talking with people. He's a great guy and holds interesting conversations. I introduced him to my husband Tim Higgins who in the early 90's on the PBT was called The Hitman. We all laughed about it and thought it was kind of cool that both TH's had the same nickname. Tim, due to his work schedule doesn't get out and play but we are hoping to drag him out one day for a game or two.
