Now would be a good time to remind you of the pics from Cambridge last yr. They're readily available and can be posted again AND used as avatars.

Anymore questions you'd like to ask?

;)

Hmmm, let me see? How much liquid would you say "said sponge" could absorb in an average innings? :D :D :D

PS
Any photo submission would be seen as an act of guilt and free license to:

a) Guess my own liquid amounts
b) With diagrams!
c) Reveal names!!! :p :D :D

All in good fun hehe

There's tons of new members that haven't seen them...I also believe you've forgotten just how bad a couple of them are. :D :D

I'm going to ignore any & all references to the other stuff.... I righted that wrong. ;)

I'm usually a little shy when it comes to posting on forums. I know whatever I say, someone will jump on me. Plus AZ has enough experts already anyway

But its great to see, that I have some friends out there ! Thanks !

I think you know me well enough to understand that my day is just not complete without one joke at another's expense... :D (more than one on my fiesty days.... )

Welcome to the board Thorsten! We definitely know who the top straight pooler on AZ is now:)

If I could attach a photo as my signature, I would but if there's a way to do it, I don't know how.... I think I'll "sign" all of my posts by attaching the following collage to every post.... :D Tony C if you happen to catch this... notice that $12 drink made it into every pic!

Cheers

Hi Thorsten, it's been great to watch you play the last couple of Thursday nights. I apologise for my drunken friend in the big England hat last week, you know how passionate we are about the World Cup - and how lucky Germany are to avoid us in the Round of 16! :)

Hehe. very good very good  Wow so thats like $36 of drinks right there, I never had it so good, can't wait to see you guys again! :D :D

Anyway I think we've hijacked this thread enough with these silly and childish posts, lets get back to the players.

Oh that reminds me did you notice the players profiles are up on the IPT site, this is Mr Hohmans.

However my personal fav has to be this one...

"Shawn “The Love Sponge” Putnam was born in Newcastle, Pennsylvania on May 30, 1971. At the mere age of six, Putnam would sit on a bar stool, eating pretzels and drinking soda, silently absorbing the shots made by all the local hustlers. After letting all of the knowledge soak in, Putnam finally got serious about the sport of pool at the age of seventeen. Although he participated in his first professional tournament at nineteen, Shawn feels he really became professional in 1999. The Love Sponge was a six-time consecutive Viking Tour Player of the Year, and this year has won the Pittsburgh Open and the Valley Forge Players Championship, making him one of the only competitors to ever win back to back professional events."

;)

:D
Thanks for so many nice welcome greetings, I appreciate it !

Thorsten

i caught the end of your match with danny barouty. i wish i showed up sooner. :) i hope to see you in more matches with danny "mother goose" barouty...and tony "silent assasin" robles...and george "ginky" sancucci.

if you're up for a match with a mere mortal, my high run is 127 (back in 1979) and since neither you or i like to gamble, i think i can give you a good match.

Hi Thorsten, welcome......I have 1 thing to say to you!

527!

Oh, and about the "shot clock" at a straight pool tournament.......that's friggin sacrilege......maybe in 9ball, but there's no place for it in world class 14.1 IMO. Here's why.....what if a fast player really slows down against a slower player to get the ref to put them on the clock. Then when they are on the clock, He goes back to his normal pace not bothered by the clock, and the slower player gets sharked......just a thought.
