Ralf Souquet almost won the DCC for the fourth time in 6 years, that's amazing. He finished tied for 3rd, with Adam Smith, a youngster that impressed me already in the one-pocket tournament with some great shooting. On top of that Ralf finished 2nd in the Fatboy 10-ball tournament, won by Lee Van Corteza.
I am not surprised that an American won the banks, since it is mostly played only in Kentucky...
In One-pocket I am really surprised that John Schmidt won, but I were betting on him since it was impossible to get action the other way around. Everyone wanted Scott Frost.
In 9-ball I really rooted for Lee Van Corteza, but the luck was on the American side this time. Minutes after the match Lee Van said to me "If he wants to gamble me in a longer race I am ready to play him anytime". I like that attitude, and I know that Shane Van Boening feels the same too, so I am looking forward till next time these two champions will meet eachother. It was a good final, and America can really be proud of Shane.
Anyway, the American's didn't have a chance in the most important tournament of all, which was the One Pocket Challenge.
Mika Immonen and Darren Appleton got the 3 highest finishes, while the guy I backed in the Challenge, Efren Reyes, finished 4th.
