Good start for the US of A....and also for pool in general. Hope this bodes well for the rest of the year

Wheres our buddy Roy??? I suppose he is still sat around thinking about Mosconi Cup :) Again I just had to do it. :)

Ole Roy Boy probably has jet lag since he was at DCC for a while I think if not we will here from him soon, there was also two Americans who finished tops in King of the table. Brumback and Peneger first and second although I wanted Hennesey to get first, now lets hope Scooter gets the Louis Roberts award.--Leonard

This is awesome....has there ever been a year where all three divisions were won by Americans?

A BIG congratulations to our own John Schmidt, happy to see him win a one pocket tourney, he certainly has the brains for the game. (And apparently, the stroke)

SVB posts here as well - congratulations to all three champions! I don't know if SVB-Bustamante has gone off yet or if it will but if Shane takes it down then he will have earned a triple crown this week. Does anyone know if Danny Harriman won the Straight Pool Challenge?

Make it four Danny Harriman just won the straight pool challenge over Appleton by a ton there Roy.--Leonard

How could this happen. It was just the other day we were being told American players weren't as good because they have no heart. Well glad to see I didnt get so pi**ed for no reason...Now If they could pull off a trashing at the Masconi Cup, how sweet it would be...

Ya gotta love Reyes and Busta, But Ya gotta really LOVE SVB... Tear um up kid...

Ralf Souquet almost won the DCC for the fourth time in 6 years, that's amazing. He finished tied for 3rd, with Adam Smith, a youngster that impressed me already in the one-pocket tournament with some great shooting. On top of that Ralf finished 2nd in the Fatboy 10-ball tournament, won by Lee Van Corteza.

I am not surprised that an American won the banks, since it is mostly played only in Kentucky...

In One-pocket I am really surprised that John Schmidt won, but I were betting on him since it was impossible to get action the other way around. Everyone wanted Scott Frost.

In 9-ball I really rooted for Lee Van Corteza, but the luck was on the American side this time. Minutes after the match Lee Van said to me "If he wants to gamble me in a longer race I am ready to play him anytime". I like that attitude, and I know that Shane Van Boening feels the same too, so I am looking forward till next time these two champions will meet eachother. It was a good final, and America can really be proud of Shane.

Anyway, the American's didn't have a chance in the most important tournament of all, which was the One Pocket Challenge.

Mika Immonen and Darren Appleton got the 3 highest finishes, while the guy I backed in the Challenge, Efren Reyes, finished 4th.

I think I should get ALL the credit and 10% of the money won for putting up a thread to get the Americans PUMPED up before the DCC! :-)

Ok I will settle for 5%............

Nice Job Guys!!!!

adam not canadian, hes from michiagan

I could be wrong, but I am about 99% sure he is from Canada.

I know he moved to 'the D' later on though.

I used to play in this small tournament he ran when he was a kid (I was a kid too) in London Ontario. He took the bus back from School in Toronto.

Congrats to all the winners. Not only are they all Americans, they are all classy guys who bring credit to the game, on and off the table.
