WOW!!, KT sure takes the players for granted, doesn't he?

Personally, if I was not paid for the last tournament, I would take this information as an insult.

Completely meaningless, in fact was to be expected I don't know why it took so long.
Companies go under everyday, It's not unusual for employees to show up for work and the doors are locked and that is that. Nothing unprecedented about a company putting up a front while everything is falling down around them. No matter what their plans they had to put the Chicago tickets on sale. I remember one company that invited the employees to a Christmas party and they arrived at a dark closed up building. It happens quick and it happens everyday, no big deal for a company to go under and leave the creditors chasing their money.

They had a tournament in Reno too... was that good news? ;)

They can tell me they're having a Chicago event until they're blue in the face and they can tell me that the players are going to get paid until they're blue in the face....

Timberly <---- won't believe a single thing anyone with the IPT says. Actions speak louder than words.

Within 20 minutes after a halfway encouraging post, bam, four posts trying to tear it to pieces.

Are you four all working together?

Unless the players get paid sometime in the near future Chicago either won't happen or if the IPT does try to go forward with it without paying the players it will be a disaster.

What you call tearing to pieces, I call reality. The reality is that they had an event in Reno 30+ days ago and no one has been paid. The reality is that sure, they can try to have an event in Chicago, but what are the odds of the people that show up will get paid?

Work together? WTF does that mean? We're simply people posting on a forum like you do, we just happen to look at life through different colored glasses than you.

This is a msg board... where people post things like facts, rumours and opinions. The original thread starter posted his opinion and I posted mine. I didn't blast the original thread starter for his opinion and I see no reason for you to blast me for mine.

Just stating the obvious. I have seen a lot of companies go under and they never telegraph what is happening, they do all they can to keep up a good front. To not put the tickets on sale would have been to say very loud "it is over we are running for the hills". Like I said, I don't know why they waited so long.

Wasn't Efren and Django paid?

If they are lucky, they might sell as many tickets as they have had players paying to enter qualifiers. (That would be, what, a couple of dozen?) Common sense tells you that if they don't pay the players for Reno, there won't be anything happening in Chicago.

Were they? Were they paid in full with the money out of KT's bank and in theirs? You tell me. Honestly, I quit following the threads where they were discussed once a couple of newspaper articles were posted saying that they haven't been paid but believe they will be... after the posts were made saying they had been paid. If they were paid, why are you, a player that's waiting on money, ok with two guys getting checks and none others?

I've heard from pretty reliable sources, that they were paid. If it's true or not, yet difficult to say.

And about being ok, I try to be ok at all of the time. Sometimes it's difficult though.. 8oD

Hey, Da

We should be thankful we're not in a box canyon, the echoing would come back TPI, or would that be looking in the rear view mirror.:D Its so important for some posters to be this way, probably helps them as they live their day to day lives, makes you wonder what they scream out when in church. Or it may be something of even more importance, some people just like
"Negative Waves" and we know how important that is to ones soul, persona and its a special gift to society.;) Kinda reminds me when I see all the stereotyping going on with TV. Boy they sure do a wonderful job of protraying the Ray Charles talent out there from another perspective?:( :( :(

I Think.... Finally

Even though I've been straddling the fence as an interested spectator, I know that many here have been waiting with bait on their breath for my opinion on the IPT, so I'm going to give one.

I have read EVERY post in EVERY thread for the past year concerning the IPT. I have followed closely the optimists and the pessimists and releases from the IPT. I have weighed all the information and cast dried chicken bones on the floor in order to 'read the bones'....

I have come to the conclusion that the players WILL be paid, along with some feeble excuse for the delay. I also feel that there will be a good turnout for the Chicago event, despite the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth. I think that Deno and KT will be in attendance with great big smiles, as if everything has been going according to plan all along.

Doug
( and I think that popcorn will be available at the Chicago event )
