Tiger tips: Everest or Sniper ??

I prefer the Sniper. Playing wise for me personally theres not much in it, but the Snipers feel a bit softer to me. I currently have a Tiger Soft on my playing cue and I'm happy with it. I don't think you can go wrong with any Tiger tips, it's just a case of finding out whats best for you.

I like the sniper i bit better. To me the everest plays great for the first 6 months or so then like dies. The sniper seems to have maybe a bit more grab and seems to hold up better. Longer playing consistency.

Everest for me, you have a spongy hit with the sniper, better feel with the Everest. But both are very good tips.

Everest for me tried a bunch and like everest best. Nice feel, holds shape well and good control.

I like both and keep several of each on hand. If I had to make a choice, it would be a Sniper. Seems to me they play a tad softer, and I prefer that.
If you'd like to try something different, try a Talisman soft, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Once you get over the initial mushroom, you'll never have to worry about it again other than general upkeep.
Go to Talisman.com. They have a tip special on. For $28, I believe, you get 3 tips of choice, 1 Talisman waterbuffalo break tip and a Talisman towel. Not bad for 28 beans, I'd say. Layered and very well made.

I didn't like the Evrest tip, I love the Sniper tip in my Predator 314-2 shaft.
I put a sniper tip on my Bob Runde cue and I didn't like it at all.
I just put a sniper tip on my Ae cue, and I only think it's OK.
I will trim the tip down to be a little thinner and try it again.
I like the tip the best when it's been played with awhile and is almost worn
out.

Sniper Tip

I currently play with a sniper tip, but I am getting ready to go to another tip. I like the sniper, but after playing with it a while, it starts to glaze over or something causing a lot of mis-cues. It could be my stroke causing some of it. If you like the feel of a soft tip the sniper is a good tip and will hold its shape. I like a little more solid of a hit though.

Looking for opinions on the Everest and the Snipers.. Which one and Why ?

In my experience, Snipers hold their shape better. My recommendation is to scruff them before each time you play and additionally before any extreme shot.

I had the same problem. I suggest trying this:

Now I scruff it before each time I play and also before any extreme shot. i use a tip tapper with one of the rounded spots for filing and just put it in and turn it a few times. Seems like no matter how much I scruff it, it doesn't seem to wear out much. It virtually eliminated the miscues.

I concur Chris, that is exactly what I do!!

I used to use the Snipers but I switched to Wizard Medium and absolutely love them. They last longer and hold there shape better.

I roughen mine up before playing for the night, and about once every 90 minutes,
a good chalk makes a big difference too.

My tips mushroom a little the first 2 times I play with them, then after that they never
mushroom again.

I also like to trim my tip thinner,
I don't like the feel of most tips
when they are still new ans thick.

I roughen mine up before playing and about onc

I'm a Sniper fan. They hold shape, take chalk great and I love the feel of em. I've tried other tips with the closest being a Moori medium, or a Kamui Black soft for a slightly harder hit. I'll stick with the Sniper and I don't know why I kept trying to fix something that isn't broken.

Everest............

Both are really great tips that hold shape and hold chalk extremely well. Only difference between the two for me is that the Sniper has a click sounding hit while the Everest is much more quiet, which is what I personally prefer.....
