I had the honor of making the Caps for Steve's Black Boar Pronged Ivory Buttcap Collection...
10 Male and 10 Female A Axis runs.... :embarrassed2:
All have a Button/Tendon to captivate/Align the Ivory Pronged Tops to the Gabon Ebony Bodies...
Although, they fit up nice and snug without it.. :wink:
All are thickly clearcoated and Glossy..
Working on the 20 Shaft caps... :sorry: 20 + hours on the CNC..:o
Thanks for being patient Steve..
Steve requested for these a few months ago.. I took that long to get everything together and I had some cap sets to finish-up before I started this large production run of caps..

I have so much work, and, I am blessed that I do..
I love my "Job"... I love the challenge.. I love the progressing that each cap has..
Concept to Reality... I have to admit, it is very satisfying..

Alton you made me a "Petersen Collection" Cap a while back, I thought for a change i'd put it on my boar(daily player) Tony's threads are a hair different than the regular 5/16"-14 or what ever its called. It fits but is tight, Did you on these use tony's exact thread to match the pin?


This is a beatiful collection and the caps just tie it all together so nicely, very nice, congts Steve!!!

- No, I drilled out the Minor .010" and retapped with a Widell 5/16" X 14 thd Tap.. don't know if it was Class 2A or 3A fit..
