Tip change

I got my McFadden cue used with a Moorri Quick tip on it. Now It's time to change it. I have had 2 15mm LePros sitting around for awhile and I'm having one put on. I am wondering what the change will be.
 
in my experience, le poos are very inconsistant...
so, i think the change will be

to a pooldawg milk-dud!
 
Dawg's Duds are a good choice.

That or a Black King tip.

Actually, the 15 mm are reputedly more consistent than the other sizes.
Why you may ask, I read it on the internet so it must be true.

But really, a cue maker told me that a couple of years ago. I would have no reason to not believe someone that has many more years of experience with them than I do.

It depends on whether or not they go through Doug's science project & microwave treatment.
 
If you buy Ted a couple bottles of water at Hanks, he will probably give you a milk dud to try out, but Hanks famous bottled water first, tips second. lol

I may have a pooldawg8 dud stashed away that he can try for a week or two.
Then he has to give it back.....:winknudge:
 
I just had one of the 15mm LePro's put on one of my shafts. It is the worst tip I've ever had....its inconsistent and mushy. I was somewhat suprised given the fact that I've like LePro's in the past as long as I kept maintaining them.
 
I played and broke with it for 4 hours. It mushroomed a little and Doug is going to reshape it. It played well but I felt a "thud" with it,not as crisp as the Moori that was on it.
At about the 2 hour mark i rubbed some of "Hanks" water on it and every time I broke all 9 balls went in. The stuff really is magic. :thumbup:
 
Hank for what its worth. I been using the big deal layered tip for a few years. Those tips are as picky an need more attention than my lovely wife. I made the switch to a one piece tip from pooldawg8. I put the tip on an have a hard time putting my cue down. No break in an no miss cues an if you want it can make whit tie spin like a top. Before the switch I ordered a new schon shaft from Seyberts an had them put on a Le Pro tip to try. Well I guess I got a bad one, it keep getting the shine an mushrooming. Bottom line pooldawg8 the only tip for me. :thumbup:
