Tips of the pros???

What kind of tips are the pros using? Who uses what?
Pros are no different from amateurs, in that they each find a tip that they like and they stick with it. Their choices are just as varied as the choices of amateurs. Just go to any good pool catalog or web site and you will find dozens of choices in tips. All of these companies do not stay in business because no one likes their product. There are different strokes (tips) for different folks.

There is no secret superior tip. You just have to find one that feels good to you.

I'm sitting ring side in that video and saw the shot with my own eyes. I still think it is impossible.
And what was equally as impossible is that He misses the 9 ball. For some reason everybody cuts that part out on Youtube.:D

That shows that even the best can choke.

Kim Davenport used a LePro all his life. Was once talked into a Moori and quickly went back to LePro....

I used LePros for 15 years, and I have "1" good box of them left in the shop. Lately I used Triangles, and Talisman medium layered both are real close to a broken in LePro....

TIPS is a very interesting subject to an equipment freak such as myself.

I've always thought thought it would be advantageous to use a different shaft/tip combo for different pool games.

Something like perhaps using a soft tip and a more flexible shaft for One Pocket and maybe a stiffer shaft with a harder tip for NineBall and EightBall.

Does that make sense?

What kind of tips do Carom and 3C players use?

I was sitting ring side (Stealth section) also and it was an incredible shot in a match like the US Open TV table. I've watched Cory play many times and he has one of the most powerful strokes i've ever seen. The next time you see him notice how powerful his forearms appear. He has an awesome stroke when he goes for a power draw shot.......

well the one thing about corey is he looks like hes not getting ready to juice it like he does. he just calmly lines up and *whammo!* (comic book billiard style) strokes the sh*t out of it and surprises people a) because it's a great shot and b) he doesnt even look like hes getting ready to attempt something like that.
