Now that is a very nice Cue.Jon P. Nusbaum said:This is my favorite "Titlist" conversion. I originally bought the cue in 1956, for $18.95 new. Bob Frey,of Baltimore, reconstructed, added new handle section which allowed the Points to extend 10" on Forearm. Forearm then was cored from Joint back 2". A solid maple dowel was threaded in place, rethreaded outside, and then a Stainless Steel cap added. Making a wood to wood Joint, with a 3/8" Polished Aluminum 10 thread pin. Inlays and Rambow Ivory Butt by "Tony of Black Boar" 2 shafts with threaded Ivory Ferrules, Mori Tips.

A TITLIST WAS AN OLD CUE THAT WAS PRODUCED BY BRUNSWICK. THE EARLY ONES WERE 1 PIECE FULL SPLICE CUES WITH VENEERS ON THE POINTS. (MAPLE MAHOGANY, GREEN AND PURPLE)
CURRENT CUEMAKERS WILL CUT THEM UP AND EITHER JUST USE THE POINTS IN A CUE, OR ACTUALLY CONVERT IT LEAVING THE TITLIST FULLSPLICE. IT'S BASICLY THE SAME AS STARTING WITH A FULLSPLICE BLANK, BUT THESE ARE VERY OLD. HERE IS A PICTURE OF MY PLAYING CUE THAT PETE TASCARELLA DID. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF A TITLIST THAT WAS LEFT FULLSPLICE.

I HOPE THIS HELPED. HERE IS A WEB PAGE THAT MAY HELP MORE http://www.palmercollector.com/Titlist.html
THAT ALSO EXPLAINS THE TITLIST AND GIVES YOU EXAMPLES.
HERE ARE A FEW OTHER TASCARELLA TITLISTS THAT I'VE OWNED.

DEGAMO88 said:Do my eyes deceive me or does the tascarella on top have a curly maple front? If so, that's a very rare titlist you have there.
I would use the pics in this thread for inspiration, and then buy something on ebay and send it to the cue-builder of your choice. On the other hand, I don't have a feel for what these items sell for already converted, versus cost to have one made yourself. Shorty's Schick is what gave me the bug.LWW said:Thats pretty much what I figured but had never seen a definition.
I have a hankering to pick up a unique custom cue is why I'm here...kicking tires.![]()

He also brought back about an inch of the points and the butt, from under the original wrap. The cue hits fantastic, which was an unexpected bonus. Jerry said he's done a lot of these Hoppes, but never seen this type of wood. He said it isn't walnut or rosewood.
Any thoughts as to type of wood this is?
