To Clear The Air The Money Order He Is Sending Me Is 80 For Shipping The Cues.

Ya know bud, I just sold a brand new McDermott to a guy on AZ. I accidentally quoted him $30 cheaper than my original quote to him after he got back to me. I know $30 is not much, but it means a bit to me. I'm a man of my word and hes getting the cue shipped tonight at the price for my mistake. Suck it up or you're not going to have much fun on AZ.

he misrepresented what kind of payment he actually did sent me
I don't think he did. You stated that you asked for shipping money up front because funds were tight, he sent you that in good faith.

Correct. however when he said i ripped him off he made it sound like he had already paid me for the cues

Don't get distracted here. Please get back to committing to the deal. Please say for everybody to see exactly how you will follow through on your original deal.

Kevin

I am open to the idea of following through on THE original deal. And I would do this through escrow just so there is no questions.

I don't follow "open to the idea"??? What was the original deal and what will you do now?

Kevin

In my opinion, I think the chance of getting your original price from anyone on this forum is probably -37% (never was good at math)

Originally he was going to send me the money through paypal. If he still wants to buy the cues i would Do this through Escrow which as I understand it will inspect the cues and only send them to the buyer if as described and send me the funds.

Great you are really coming along. So you will commit to a 3rd party escrow. Price to be ?

Kevin

if i were robert i would go elswhere and get the cues from a couple of reputable collectors here on az that i know have these cues in duplicates and near new for probably a whole lot less, and alot less hassle!!!!!!!

I just got home to read this thread and found a whole lot of support, it is greatly appriciated. I did act in good faith with this guy and spent over 3 hours on the phone on multiple calls so I could document the cues condition and even the agreement. I felt the guy was alright based on our conversations.

I will add there are some misleading statements being made by Farhad in this thread but whatever.

At this point I want a refund and to be done with it. Even though Farhad has agreed to do the right thing it is only because he was called to task by guys that know the meaning of standing by their word.

Farhad, please send my money back and we will be done.

One bit of advise that I was told by my grandfather and my dad:

AN ETHICAL MAN SAYS WHAT HE MEANS AND DOES WHAT HE SAYS . . . EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT EASY TO DO!

I am certain if I had treated you the way you treated me you would have not liked it, to say the least

So if I have this right, you bought a cue or cues or whatever for a specific price, then made a deal to sell them for $2000. After the deal was made, you found out they could have sold for more and asked for more money, stating that you would be LOSING money on the sale?

I dont get it, what changed the price that you paid in the beginning? And how are you losing money? Theres a big difference between losing money, and making less profit than you could have.

Its shit like this that makes some new guys here afraid to buy or sell things. You cant change your asking price or cancel a deal(unless the other party agrees to the reason for it) and expect to keep your credibility on here. Another thing that bothers me is how many for sale threads have posts that say "sold pending payment" and then theyre back up for sale the next day because they guy never made good on his offer.

If you state a price, or make an offer IMO you should honor it.

Good choice.

i second that!!! you seem like a stand up guy robert! when one deal goes like this another one usually comes along that makes something like this look like fate!!! good luck!

Great News

Great News Farhad you don't have to do the deal with Robert.
Now you can sell your back-of-book Meuccis for every last penny you get!

Good luck to you with that.
