Where do we stand at this point, KT? Please take a few minutes and fill us in on where things are at and where things are going. We haven't heard from you in a while. We, the players, appreciate that the promised payments have arrived, but we still need to know what is going to be happening. Please keep us posted.

(please AZ posters..... this doesn't need a lot of replies.......This is just an open letter to the IPT to try to find out what's going on. I'm pretty sure that we know what most of you have to say about this anyway! )

(Here you can insert a picture of me (and several others) sitting like the good puppies we are. We look a little like someone stepped on our tails.:( ...... but just like that little puppy, I'll perk right up and start wagging that tail if you just throw me a little bone (rawhide bone, guys) or reach down and pat me on the head.....:D )

Hope to hear from KT or Deno soon......

He already did on 12/18/06 in this letter.

From this it is clear we can expect no news before March 1st.

Some helpful negotiating tips

Negotiating Tips

Mastering the Art of Negotiation

Looking for small business advice? A great way to improve your business is to become a better negotiator. Our negotiating tips get you on the path to mastering the art of negotiation.

Success in small business means getting the right prices, the right deals, and the right employees you'll need to distinguish yourself from the competition.
(article continues below useful links)

To do it, you're going to have to master the art of negotiation. Here are some tips to get you started.

Know Your Objective

If you don't go into the negotiation knowing what you want, you'll never be disappointed. Unfortunately, you'll also never make it in business because other people are going to walk all over you time and time again. Successful negotiators have a clear understanding about what they want to achieve before they begin the negotiation process. They not only have a "best case scenario" objective, but also a bottom line objective they absolutely must have in order to make the deal work. A successful negotiation is anything in between.

Information is Power
In negotiation, information is power. The most valuable pieces of information are the ones that help you determine what is important to the other party and how far they are willing to go to close the deal. This is going to require you to do some advance research, but you can also gather information by asking probing questions throughout the negotiation.

Don't Be Intimidated

Some small business owners get intimidated when negotiating with larger companies because they believe larger companies have more bargaining power. But once you allow yourself to be intimidated, you've already lost ground in the negotiation. Approach the negotiation process as an equal, confident in your ability to achieve a good deal for your business.

Aim High

In negotiation, it's expected that both parties will ask for more than they want in hopes of getting what they actually want. When you ask for something, aim high enough to leave room for negotiation, but not so high that it comes off as an insult. Likewise, when the other person asks for something, remember that they've likely inflated their request.

Use Body Language
Good negotiators know how to use body language to their advantage. They also know how to read other people's body language to gain the upper hand. Crossed arms, raised eyebrows, wandering eyes - they all mean something. Pay attention and you'll be surprised what you might learn about what is really going on in the negotiation regardless of what is being said with words.

Be Patient

Negotiation can be nerve-wracking. Sometimes it's tempting to give up concessions just to reach an agreement. But impatience can be costly. If the negotiating process is wearing you out, consider suggesting a break in negotiation to regroup instead of giving in to the other person's demands. Don't Be Afraid To Walk Away. No matter what happens in the midst of the negotiation process, don't be afraid to exercise your ability to simply walk away from the deal. This might mean that you'll never be able to make the deal, but it might also be the impetus the other person needed to reach an agreement.

Yes Linda, unfortunately, I think that's exactly what some people have in mind:confused:

Boy, you're sure to negotiate a great deal using that posture. Maybe with Animal Control!!:D

Tried to give you some rep, Big Brother said "not yet."

PS What a cute puppy! Is he yours?

No, I wish he was mine. I used to have beagles as a kid and loved them. Now I have 2 cocker spaniels. Both are slightly retarded <j/k> but I love them anyway.

I spoke to Billy Incardona yesterday, and when he attempted to contact an IPT staffperson in recent times via telephone, they did return his call.

Though the IPT phone number is supposed to be a best-kept secret, there are some who are in possession of it. Their inquiries are answered.

Personally, IMHO, this has been the biggest stumbling block with the IPT, the lack of communication.

When I attempted to have questions answered via e-mail, it was sometimes several weeks before I got a response.

If the IPT does move forward -- and I guess that is a big "if" today -- I hope that something is done to improve the communication.

To sit here like a puppy dog, as Tammie says, waiting anxiously for any new tidbit of news is sad.

Give us a little bone, IPT, even if it doesn't have much meat on it. Something is better than NOTHING.

P.S. Why is the screen so wide on this thread? I have a large monitor, but it isn't big enough to read from left to right on this thread. One must use the scroll bar down below.

P.S. P.S. (LOL) Linda, it is the .jpeg file that you posted of the cute puppy that is making this so wide. It needs to be reduced in size, I think.

There's something deeply symbolic about a cute puppy like that exposing it's genitals, the trouble is figuring out which part of the symbolism represents the IPT ;-)

Huh, yeah. The expression "crooked as a dog's d#ck" comes immediately to mind.
