I just posted this kind of note over on the CCB and thought i do have some friends here also so i am posting it here also. Those of you that know me personally know that my wife is terminally ill and her health is getting worse. sometime in the near future they will be putting her on a special type of ventilator called a turtle shell that will take over her breathing at night when she is sleeping to give her lungs a break. So i have decided to give up pool, the forums and basixally the computer all together for awhile to spend more time with her and to try to make her life a little more easier and enjoyable. So for now i just want to say i will see you all again soon and for all of you to keep on stroking........................................................mike

We understand that you need to focus on your family and that it's the right thing to do. Thank you for taking the time to explain your absence. We know we will see you again in the future. Good luck and best wishes to you and your wife.

Mike, having just recently met you, I was not aware of your wife's health problems. Let me first say that I'm so sorry to hear of her physical problems. The both of you are in my thoughts & prayers. You were so nice & friendly when we met.... it's heartbreaking to see good people suffer through something of which they have no control.

Your decision to take a break & be with your wife is the right one that you'll never regret. God bless you both.

Well i did'nt get to know you but ,i can see i missed out on a good friend. :)

Hang in there - you are not alone. There are at least two other posters to this forum whose wives are very sick. I phoned one today. Keep in contact with your personal friends even if it just to talk about nothing. It helps - so I have been told.

Mike, my thoughts are with you and your wife. You will be missed here, but real life is MUCH more important. You seem like a good man and your wife is a VERY lucky woman. Take care and God bless.

Mike, I am sorry to hear about your wife's illness. Putting your life on hold while you care for her is the right thing to do. You both are in the Purdy's prayers. You done good brother. I don't know who said this but it is so true. " Everywhere the flower of love blooms, the seed of tragedy is planted ".
