Okay, now I'll give some crow and eat some crow. Mostly, I'll happily eat crow.
Congratulations to Karen. I didn't think she had a chance at getting out of her group, but she got out of it easily. I know this will sound continuously misogynistic, but I have to assume that Pete Fusco is the biggest reason for her showing (apart from her skill).
Congratulations to Allison who deserved to be in the next round. But, that index system got her. I thought she also had no chance, but she
did have a chance. I've seen Neil play 8-ball on tough equipment, and he ran out everything he looked at. I'm still shocked that he lost to Allison without much runouts, but there it is in black and white.
Congratulations to Gerda whose single win was a hill-hill victory over Strickland. Ouch.
Congratulations to Thorsten, whom I certainly questioned previously. But, that being said, the record shows that he was 0-2 and had to win his last three for a shot at it. And he did, which shows heart.
{Edit: I don't think my statement is true. There's no indication as to which match was played first.}
Congratulations to Tony Robles, as I think his index is better than Jeremy Jonnes.
And congratulations to my pick Marvelous Marlon Manalo for being one of two to sweep his matches (Francisco).
