Tidbits from this article:

"The white guy was asking the black guy for a shoeshine," said Iyanna Washington who shot the video with a small camera.

The younger man's nose was broken, said AC Transit spokesman Clarence Johnson.

(after departing the bus) Washington picked up her cell phone this time to record video as the man started screaming and kicking a newspaper stand. Washington said the bearded man eventually surrendered.

...both men were taken to the hospital. He said the bearded man was off his meds and is now back on them.

Washington told KPIX-TV she held the bag up to the camera, but did not steal it.

That was brutal.. Don't mess with big, old, bearded dudes.. He landed that first punch and it was all she wrote!

On the front left, a modest OTR logo.... on the back:

Why does someone always think its cool to take a bag and go through it as opposed to getting it to the driver and trying to get it back to the person.
 
That "gangster" needs to move out of Oakland...he's going to get tortured by the locals for getting beat down by an old man.

Gotta love the cry of "Hit that Pinky!!" from a lady on the bus.

Haha, I am just going to pick one up from that 6 dollar tshirt site so I can have the one he was wearing. :smile:
 
You gotta love when a guy gets every chance to leave it alone, keeps pressing the issue, and then gets stomped. The old man was misunderstood, tried to explain what he said, and then when he realized the other guy was not gonna listen, he tried to walk away.

Then, the comments from the other bus riders, like "Hit that Pinky" and "Kick his ass" while slamming a fist into a chair to up his courage is classic.

All in all, maybe next time he is riding the bus, he won't be so eager to get in a fight with a complete stranger....
 
Damn, the white guy won the fight. They are both lucky the other guy didn't have a weapon.
