Could someone please confirm or debunked the rumor that Little T was beaten half to death Monday night? He supposdly is in critical condition and will suffer permenant damage from a beating he sustained from some shady individuals. Anyone that can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Tony may have his issues the last few years, but I remember when he was so passionate about the game all he wanted to do when he was a kid was to be a champion and he was/is. In his teens and early 20's him and his backer were considered one of the best scores East of the Mississippi. I seen Lil T when he was about 18 or 19 play Flyboy and put a seven pack on him while running around the table playing for 10k. I hope he gets squared away and no one hurt him too bad, he has as much talent as anyone playing 9ball.

Not sure about the rumor, hope it aint true. I am just curious about the nickname shrimpboat. Can anyone shed some light on this?

All I've heard him called for the 10 years or so that I've known him , is Little Tony.

I heard his name was Anthony. Hmmph.

Regardless of the circumstances, it is a horrible thing for any human to impose on another. I hate to even think of such evil.

I've always heard "Little T".

I'll ask Shannon and Marge if they heard anything when they come over for the tournament in Chattanooga this weekend. I think they all live in Greenville, SC now.

every few months a rumor surfaces about Tony getting beat to a pulp and they all end up being false.

Yeah but the rumors about Him beatin' everybody else to a pulp are true:D

I hope he is OK, I heard he has a family or kids now from a good source,

He did give the worst beating I ever had, It was in Reno in the late 80's, I knew I had no shot but had just won a bit of $$$ and wanted to step up, really step up, I lost something 9-2, one game he dogged the 9 towards the end of the set, he was half asleep, I couldnt put any pressure on him, I was kicking balls or racking the whole time, I'm glad I played him it was only $50 at the time alot for me, but looking back 20 years later its cool,

He was known as Shrimpboat around NOLA when he laid it down really well years ago.
Hey Hemi,

Good to see you posting again. I guess you made it through the surgery OK. I'm sure you're a bit sore, though.

Good luck on the recovery.

As far as I know, the wife divorced/left a few years ago, now. So did her father's money. And in a lot of ways, he's gone down hill since. Mike Templeton may know more about that than I do.

Be careful Gary.....You say that like I stole his wife :D :) :D .

I do know Tony pretty well, but since I left Greenville, the only times I see him is at tournaments. I didn't even know that he had moved back to Hickory.

He is one hell of a player, though, and I wish him well.

LOL!! Sorry, Mike! I've always heard that Tony had married money, that his father-in-law was putting him in tournaments and in action. When his wife left, that stopped, naturally.
