Is he still playing? Haven't heard his name is a few years. Such a talent and exciting to watch.

I've heard he's taking a vacation for a while. But boy can that man play. I don't think I've ever seen a more gifted player, when his mix was right.

Does anyone have that pic of him and Alex barking/arguing at each other? One of them was holding a huge wad of cash. Classic photo.

Chandleys in Statesville

He's been playing a good bit in Statesville, NC at Chandleys.

I saw on Face Book a while back that Keith Josey made him a cue. His vacation must be over. He can play, alright. I saw him and Alex trying to make a game at the US Open one of the last times I was there. Tony wanted huge weight and Alex finally gave in. I heard later it took Tony about twenty minutes to get Alex to quit.

Not "a cue" ... A matching set of cues... They are nice.....

First time I saw/heard Tony Watson he yelled out "Anyone wanna play some 9-ball?!?!?" at the top of his lungs in his Southern drawl, it's a brave question to ask especially at Hard Times Bellflower ha ha. Nobody took him up.

Neil

Edit: That's like the first time I saw Shannon Daulton, he matched up with Jeremiah Johnson after asking what kind of weight he wanted. Jeremiah took the 7-ball and Shannon said "The 7-ball is fine, I thought I was going to have to give up the 5 or something", the score ended up being 11-2 for a dime with the southpaw winning the set easily.

He looked like he was 12 when he came to Hard Times in Bellflower with Shannon Daulton.

He won something like 3k+ from Keith. The next night Keith wanted to change the spot and he and his partner hammered on Tony unmercifully next to table 6. The kid sat there and and wouldn't budge. It was brutal. Innocent face killer. I finally moved to watch another match because I couldn't take anymore and I wasn't even involved. He and Shannon themselves a good trip!
