Top 10 in the world

Not even a single mention for Darren Appleton, think he has won enough the last two years to be considered, very few have won more.

I also like Shane or Johnny over Gallego playing even. But I don't think either one can give him any weight. Ramil is one of what they call the "second tier" filipinos, still as good as anyone in the USA. But not in their first tier of four or five players.

Any "second tier" filipino would be capable of winning a major tournament over here and they have. Gallego, Kiamco, De luna, Gabica, Luat and Gomez are all considered second tier.

FYI Alex, Dennis, Francisco, Lee Van and Ronnie are first tier. Efren has been first tier for over twenty years but he is borderline these days, at least at 9-Ball or Ten Ball. At Rotation or One Pocket he is still numero uno!

i was told orcullo is the best in rotation.

I will bet on SVB against anyone in the world in 10-ball in long sets of 100 or more. I'd bet him against Yang too. Johnnyt

If they had a mandatory push out after the break svb would probly need 15 going to a 100 playing orcullo.

Alex P - seems to win everytime he plays
Mika - hasn't lost in 2 years
Ralf - hasn't lost in 15 years
Wu - world 8/9 ball same year
Ronnie A. world 8/9 ball same year 2nd two years in row at Open...

That is a solid top 5.

Yang is Chao's protege. Chao is way past his prime. Wu represents Singapore now. And when I say top 5 in the world, Mika and Ralf are included (this is just my list, which is Yang, Orcullo, Immonen, Souquet, and Alex if he is playing)

At the moment, Orcullo is the best player out of the Philippines, and Yang gave him the cure, twice, in a race to 50 10-ball and a race to 60 9-ball.

There is a reason nobody is lining up to play this guy, he plays THAT good. If Mika and Ralf gambled, it might be a different story, but they don't. They are not the favorite in a long race for a lot of money.

The fact that you believe that if Yang and Souquet played a race to 100, Ralf would win 10 out of 10 times tells me that you really don't know what you're talking about. You're just a fan boy who thinks nobody can beat your favorite player.

And I don't just think Yang is the best player from Taiwan, the whole country of Taiwan and the Philippines thinks so too.....

i'm not a big souquet fan...he's not even my favorite player, as you can see from my nickname...but i must admit his skills...

i'm just saying that ralf and mika are playing the best pool right now...in terms of shotmaking, safeties, breaking with cueball control, consistency, playing the easisest patterns and making smart plays...

i'm a firmly believer that in a very long race all this skills will appear...so there's no way yang can beat ralf/mika in a very long race whether there's money on the line or not...because they outplay him in almost every aspect of the game, maybe yang is the best jump shooter...

Nothing against the great Leonardo Andam, but.....

Must be nap time in the P.I cause this dog lost his bark.

Bump because Baya-whack espouses way too much disrespectful mumbo-jumbo to ever be taken seriously.

But seriously Baya-yack, you want to stake Dodong vs John Schmidt or not???

Well Ill be...

with every flaw in pool, there are 3 things i do like. negative asses like you keep it from being a sport instead of a game.

You have such insight. Its amazing when I talk about the short commings of pool with great players like Dan louie, Jack Madden, Nick Varner to name a few, we agree on so much, But point out some facts on here when any fool with a finger can chime in, and SHAZAM the fools rush in. The botom line is untill everybody plays everybody the same games, the same races, the same amount of times, alls your going to have is talk of "whos the best". And even then they whould have to play lomgenough to make sure the rolls were the same. Sorry to tell ya the break is a problem, dont like it take it up with Nick he told me "nine ball is dead they need to go to 10 ball"

P.S. There was nothing negative about a few facts, its pools fault, not mine there are no seeded tourneys, and that they cant get a tour set up. One last thing it is a game... Lucky for us unlike golf we can win it...

In no particular order :

1. Yang Ching Shun
1. Efren Reyes
1. Mika Immonen
2. Dennis Orcollo
2. Alex Pagulayan
2. Wu Chia Ching
2. Fransisco Bustamante
2. Ralf Souqet
2. Chang Jung lin
2. Earl Strickland or Chao fong phang

Close enough
3. Kuo Po cheng, Thorsten hohmann, Renato Alcano, Lee Van Corteza

Earl Strickland is the one and only american who got NAME here in Indonesia, but his attitude is awfull. When he is on fire, he plays just as good as a world champion ( he win it twice, i believe). Johnny archer is a good player also. About SVB and Corey deuel, we don't know much about them, but in my opinion SVB and Deuel is far from 10 world.
