What's top three cues that if you could put your hands on you'd love to hit with? Kind of a wish list per say...
Here's mine:
1. Kersenbrock
2. Gina
3. Black Boar
Haven't hit with any of these but would love to; to see what the differences are. BTW I'm asking Santa for all three; we'll find out once and for all if this guy is real or just pretending... :) What's yours?

I would like to hit with:

1) the cue Willie Mosconi ran 526 balls with
2) the cue Earl Strickland ran 11 racks with in the Million Dollar Challenge
3) any other cue that has performed similar feats

I KNOW that the shooter does the MAJORITY of the work, but the cue "MUST" feel comfortable in the hands of the shooter for them to get the "best" out of it at the time. I don't think anybody can perform such feats if they are "uncomfortable" with the cue they are shooting with. To get into that sort of "zone", the cue and the player must feel as "one".

The reason I mentioned the above cues is that I KNOW they performed well in the hands of the players involved. I would just like to feel the "difference" in the way the cues played so that I could kind of get a "feel" of how they played.

I've shot with cues that cost $2 and cues that cost thousands and have done well with all of them, but whatever cue I was using at the moment felt "comfortable" to me.

Aloha.

McDermott

I've never known anyone with a McD which I think is odd.

1. Searing
2. Black Boar (New Logo)
3. John Showman

Close behind with Mobley & Manzino.

I have had the good fortune to either own, or hit with several other top cue makers such as Gus & Barry Szamboti, Tascarella, Ginacue, Southwest, Schick, Tad, Hercek, Kersenbrock, Cantando, Mottey, Prewitt, White, Bender, Murrell, Joss West, Black, etc, etc, etc...

1: Searing bumperless titlist conversion.
2: McDermott C-9
3: Mike Yinling Player with one of his baseball bat shafts.

I would love to hit some racks with

1- a brunswick 360

2- an old Harvey Martin

3- a high end Tad

and if I am allowed to pick up 2 other cues to hit more racks,

4- a cue made recently by Brent Hartman
5- a Zen cue (ahh , if only i could fly to china ...)

Top 3 cues you would like to hit

Hi the first cue i would like to hit would be a original Balabusha Cue
the second cue would be a Gina Cue
the third cue would be a Schon Runde the old type

By the way i had the oppertunity to purchase an original Balabushka from Peter Tascarella back in the Seventys for $450.00 made up as follows
Rosewood with Green inlayed points 12 1/4 m.m. Ivory Ferulles 19 1/2 ounces and 58 inches long. The cue at that time was 15 years old

To this day i am kicking my self for not purchasing that cue at that time $450.00 was a lot of money

thanks Leonard

I find it "interesting" that with only the few posts made two people have listed McDermott as one of their choices.

I have a C-14 McDermott that hits as good as any cue I have ever played with. As a matter of fact, I sold a custom cue that Richard Black made for me because I preferred the play of the McDermott over the Black. This one: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=251123&highlight=hawaiianeye

I don't care who makes the cue as long as it hits GOOD for ME. I've played with $2 cues and thousand dollar cues and "for playing purposes" I'll take the $2 cue over the thousand dollar cue if it comes which cue I think I play better with. I DON'T care what it looks like or how much it costs...if I feel COMFORTABLE and CONFIDENT in the cue, then it is a KEEPER.

Aloha.

I've hit with about every cues that come through me.

However, I would love to play a rack or two :) with the following cues:

Golden Balabushka
Kersenbrock high end/ Fancy cue (any)
Gus Szamboti Fancy (8 pts/Gold Inlays)

Duc.

If I added a couple it would definetly be a Szamboti, Tascerella and a Bender. Never hit with these either (I've lived a sheltered life)... ;(

Two cues renowned for their hit that I've never played with are:

1) Searing
2) Black Boar

both Tads and SWs (which I have played with) are also known for their hit and I must say i think both those cues do deliver superior feel, so I'd be anxious to try one of the "hit" cues I have yet to experience.

Although not anxious enough to say yes to Will Prout's very generous offer to lend me his Searing box Cue at the Las Vegas ICCS. I just couldn't walk out of there (and into a pool hall) with that cue. Will was very anxious to see my reaction and completely sure I would be impressed, which says a lot about the Searing build.

Shane's cue

Just to say I did...

About time Gus Szamboti showed up.....I was gonna scream.
And what about Paul Mottey?

I've hit or owned just about every good cue-maker's product.
.....but I would like to test a Burton Spain, an Eddie Laube, and a Jim Buss.
