Travel Time and Distance to Your Pool Hall

Approx 10 minutes, depending on traffic and traffic lights, from the two different places we play league out of.

Neither is a pool room proper, but decent places to play. Five 9-foot Olhausens at The Eagles Club, about 14-15 various 9-footers at a sports bar across town. None are pristine, but still are good enough.

There is a bar a half block from my house with three 9-foot and two 8-foot coin op tables, as well. Rougher condition than the other two rooms, but an option.

Green Valley AZ, about 20 miles south of Tucson. But you need to be a member of Green Valley Recreation (own or rent). However there are some guest privilages.
Thanks. I live in the old pueblo, 5 min. from Pockets. I don't think there's a snooker table left in town.

Well,

My practice hall is a 2 minute walk from my house.

Red Shoes is a 30 minute drive.

Pyramid is about an hour drive.

The Carom Room, Romines High Pockets, the Magnet, etc. are all about 2 hours from me.

When I get good enough at my practice hall then I'll start to take semi-weekly trips back up to Wisconsin ;)

Cars

Yes, 3 residences, but the Gold Country home is home these days as I
need to be near U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for ongoing tests
and treatment for CLL Lymphoma (it has returned after 4 yrs. of remission).
Also in need of major back surgery (same hospital) from years of abusing
my body with numerous Drag Racing / Motorcycles Crashes and 3 Plane
Crashes (2 Service related, 1 Stunt Plane). As is obvious, I had No Plan of
living past age 30, but the Good Lord decided to punish me in more painful
ways than a swift death.
Yes, I am a former 1/2 owner of the GTO (sold in 1990 for $10.6m). I know,
I know ... it's worth $65m now ! I kept the '66 275 GTB4C and the '65 330 GTC,
but sold the '66 500 Superfast a couple years ago for $2.7m. As I mentioned
in another thread, I actually loaned that car to an employee for his 5th High
School Reunion in 1980. I was sweatin' bullets that time, but all ended well.
At 73, I just don't have the energy to operate a Pool Hall or I would build the
finest Billiard Establishment in Northern California.

And when we meet up in Reno we ride around in my POS Ford :rotflmao1:

I have driven 50 + minutes for the last 10 years to play this dumb game. Valley's with felt are available locally to me. I play on those once a week.

There are about 3-4 pool halls within 15km of where I am, however the pool hall I usually go to is about a 10 min drive :)

I used to drive 17 miles each way, but in April we moved to an apartment building that is 1/4 mile from the pool hall.

Next closest place is about a 90 minute drive away.

1. across the street (neighbor's house, just bring beer and your'e ok)
2. there's also one in our office (a lot of people play there though)
3. actual gambling pool hall where i play is about 4km away. but there's a lot around my area within walking distance. i just dont go there - they dont let you in if you're not gambling.
