In the same breath, what's wrong with 500k.

When you look at the top players in the world making $60k so far this year, you'd think that a nice half of 5 or 10k would be great. The power creep is there for sure.

Its backer $$$$ not player $, and I dont remember them asking the audience what the bet should be.

SO it is one corporation vs another one with the players getting a tiny slice as a free roll. I guess.Id rather see 2-5k man to man myself.

You might see more of that if they lived in the same town and gambled often. Which I know I would love to see

If it is Daulton, he's been making this callout for at least 15 years. I saw him in person at one of the Philly Expo's and he was calling out any "American" at the time for a 50k all around of banks, onehole, and 9 ball.

I kind of think it was all fluff. He knew no one would accept.

PS, I'm not dogging him. He's my favorite one hole player. I would love if someone were to accept.

IMO, Shannon was the best one hole player from his about age 20 to age 40, after Efren. I like him better than Frost, Joyner, Chohan, if you compare primes vs primes.
 
Well in talking with Roy today he's says the backing for the match is close , now it's logistics , getting the venue and the streamer on board which he says has some substantial costs involved also , but he's pretty confident that it's going to happen

I know there are lots of guys doing what he's doing bringing us these great matches oh wait a minute no there's not he should be applauded for his efforts not questioned and ridiculed, that's the reason other promoters of the past quit doing it ,

Speaking from experience...putting stuff like this together is a nightmare. Putting it together by crowd sourcing one sides money is just masochistic.
