Quick! Off the top of your head -- who do you think is considered as the Greatest BOWLER of All Time? (This is pool-related, believe me). Or just guess the NATIONALITY. No cheating/checking the internet! Just tell me the first answer that pops into your head. Great No-prizes at stake!!! Answer to follow.....

Paeng Nepomoceno? Multiple times world champ and living hall of famer.
He's from the Philippines.
Or Webber?

That popa guy I can't think of his name but he was Italian. I saw him in person by the way. I just thought of his name Andy Varipapa (sp?)

Mac, Your thinking Andy Verapopa <sp> very good but Earl Anthony was the Greatest Tourney bowler in History. I was fortunate enough to meet both of them when I was younger. My father was on the tour in the 60's.

I used to play pool in a bowling alley and the pro there was Butch Gearhart and Anthony came in a few times. I watched him practicing one afternoon and he must have thrown like 40 strikes in a row, no kidding he wasn't even keeping score, just throwing balls on two lanes.

The price you have to pay...is it worth it?

What is it about good sex that makes me have to crap? You really jarred something loose tiger!

My case used to be signed by Earl Anthony. I was at a Regional in NYC and my first block was with none other than Mark Roth:eek: being a lefty cranker we got along fine. While we were warming up Earl walks up to say hi to Mark. I just got done cranking a ball about 40 boards and Earl sais.....uhhh, you might want to tighten that line a little.....I was stunned, and stammered out....ttttthanks mr. Anthony.....duh, will you sign my case?:D

So, I got smoked in that block, then I had the next block with Amletto Monicelli (sp?)....what a friggin draw I had......but it was a lot of fun. I only lost to him by about 40 or 50 pins...ahhhhh the memories, and the blisters, and buying bowling balls like a mental patient.....:o

Barry Lang. You are talking Candlepins right? It's cheating to use those big balls with holes in them. :D :D
