Trusted Dealers

Who, in your opinion, are the most trusted dealers to do business with? What I mean by this is who stands behind their product and will step forward if an issue arises with your cue purchase. Especially within the first 12 months - barring abuse of the cue.

I expected answers to this question. How come nobody is stepping up to the plate? Their are good and bad dealers. Let it be known who they are.

Cue Makers

I feel the best way to purchase a cue is through the person who made the cue..While i have purchased a few cues on the internet i would feel much more comfortable dealing with the maker...I know i didnt answer your question but it is the way i feel...Just my 2 cents..Don :D

New2YouQ's. The most honest & square person I ever met that deals with selling custom pool cues, builders aside, is Jamie Wernsman. He's simply a geniuinely good person. There's no BS, no haggling, no cutting corners. The guy is just a solid dealer.

I think you are going to get a lot of different replies here....some will probably state their excellent dealing with one or all dealers (cornerstone, classiccues, erikleecues, indyq, billiardcue, new2youqs, etc. [sorry in advance if I left anyone out]

May I inquire as to what are you really getting at with your question (above highlighted in pink) ?? Did something minor happen with the cue (e.g. ferrule/shaft connection became obvious, shaft began to show warpage, etc.) What exactly do you mean by standing behind their product for one year ??

Might help with people's answers if this is clarified.

Bamacues best prices
New2youqs best selection
Cueaddicts also best selection

there are many other reputible cuedealers out there but imo these are the best

time??

isn't time the same everywhere???:D

i also agree with Don sometimes you get a better deal going straight to the cuemaker, but Bamacue's prices are just as cheap or sometimes cheaper than the dealer.he does not care if he only makes $50 on a cue.he will just sell it to sell it.usually dealers get the cue about 25% cheaper than we do from the cuemaker,so they have room for negotiation and they can also mark it up or mark it down on their website.

i've bought cues from a number of dealers here and fortunately i've had great luck with all of them. now, your question concerns deals where there have been issues and i think for the most part that doesn't happen very often so it will be hard to answer. most buyers have had no problems so the only thing they can report is the actual transaction, good communication, fair price, shipped well, things of this nature. i think we have all good dealers here and you fill find staunch supporters for each one and many like myself who applaud several including classic cues, cue addicts, on the hill, bamacues, new2uqs all of whom i've had dealings.

I WOULDN'T EXPECT ANY DEALER TO REPAIR OR REPLACE A CUE AFTER USE. I THINK YOU'D HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE MAKER TO HAVE THE ISSUE CORRECTED.

I HAVE THE SAME QUESTION SEAN DOES, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CUE? THAT INFO WOULD HELP THE ANSWER.

This brings up another question. If the DEALER deals in XYZ co's cues then why doesn't the dealer go back to the maker for any issues with the cue? Afterall the dealer is representing the cue maker.

I haven't had an issue myself but obviously there are others who have had issues. What's wrong with standing behind your product for 12 months, barring abuse? Shouldn't a $2,000 cue have some type of warrantee. Suppose the butt cap came loose or the joint. Are you saying the dealer/maker shouldn't stand behind his product? If so, this makes buying the highend cues a pig in a poke as to having someone stand behind this cue and making good on any problems.

your right it is the responsibility of the cue maker when dealing with custom cues, however if its a Chinese cue then there is no plan, and by the sound of the first post I think thats the kind of cue were dealing with here.

THOSE PROBLEMS SHOULD BE HANDLED BY THE MAKER IN MY OPINION. BUT NOW IF THE DEALER ISN'T DIRECT WITH THE MAKER, THAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE CONFUSING. BUT THE MAKER SHOULD STILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

If it's a new cue, then most dealers would probably facilitate that with the maker on the buyer's behalf, but if you are talking a used cue that was bought as such and the butt cap comes loose 6-12 months down the road, as I buyer I would certainly expect that I'm on my own....

Man, I wish I could buy some cues at 25% off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not dealing with any type of cue here. Chinese or otherwise. The original question was plain and simple. I agree that the cue maker is the final responsible party BUT if you purchased it through a dealer then the dealer should stand behind his product and make sure and issues are taken care of.

From your point of view this would be like buying a new Ford from the ford dealer and when something goes wrong the dealer tells you you must contact ford for repairs. Obviouly buying a car doesn't work this way. Nor should it work this way when dealing with XYZ pool cue co.

I b ought a cue through billiardwarehouse. There was a problem with the finish. I called them and stated theissue and they told me to send the cue back and pick out another cue. No problem. This was for a $500.00 cue. This is the way I expect to be treated.

are you trying to tell me that you don't get your cues 20-25% cheaper than retail?how do you make money if you pay retail?

Hows it going mason, I hope all is well with you and yours! But less than 1/2 of the cuemakers discount there cues! people like ernie G wont discount even shipping even when i have bought over 100,000.00 in cues off him. but there are some ,but the norm is 10%-20%, there is not a huge margin. but you can get a cue from barry or joel and there is no discount but you can sell it 35% higher than what you pay! hope that helps and have a good day:)
