The brackets are up for Turning Stone and it is the first tourney that I have used our new bracket system for. The majority of the changes are on the admin side and are designed to allow me to run brackets easier.

I am sure that bugs are going to pop up. Please drop me a note if you see something strange in the brackets and I will look into it asap.

Looks good to me so far. Thanks for posting up the brackets so quickly. What a treat! :)

I notice that Stevie Moore is No. 1 on the bracket, and the very last player on the bottom bracket is Johnny Archer. Do you know if this tournament was seeded? Just curious.

The toughest match of the first rounds to me looks like Thorsten Hohmann versus Warren Kiamco.

Looking forward to those in attendance to provide some updates! :p

Wow I love the new format. My only suggestion would be on the players list when you bring up a player, on the new page the colour of their name is so light you can hardly read it. But it's just super other then that. Will you be doing this for all future events?
thanks mrs.g

Nice job. Thanks, Mike. I am like JAM, very ironic placement to not be a seeded tournament.

I can guarantee you that Mike Zuglan does everything on the up and up and at random.............mike

I'll second that.

I'll go even farther to say that Mike Zuglna treats "EVERYBODY" the same. No matter who you are. He don't care if you are a top star or a c player playing just for experience... you get the same treatment....and "AMEN" to that....mike

results from tonights play

There were a lot of tough 1st round match ups so it defo was not seeded, It also wouldnt be fair to the players who support his tour to have it seeded,
I have just posted the the winners from tonight on my site for all of you people that cant wait to see them. I only posted the winners as it saved me a little time. Hope you can figure it out
Thanks Tony Crosby

This is a mild upset. Hohmann loses to Kiamco, 9 games 7. Warren will meet
another Filipino, Gandy "Yang-Yang" Valle who just whitewashed Ron Kingsley
9 games to zip.

I will look into this. I think it is picking up something from the main style sheet and making that box darker.

Yes, this will be the brackets we use from now on. It makes things so much easier for me. I used to do them by hand each time and that was a nightmare. Now it is all handled through an admin. Of course, I still have some work to do for the 256 player brackets they will have for Reno next week.

I agree, Hemicudas, about the random placement of players. Pick a name out of a hat, I say. I was kind of sure that it would NOT be seeded, but when I say Stevie Moore's name as No. 1 and Archer in the last spot, I did wonder. It was only a coincidence!

Thanks for the kind regards, Tonyc!

I remember last year when you and Keith played, you were not feeling 100 percent. This year, however, is your turn to shine. With that GREAT recent win under your belt, keep it going. Take no prisoners, show no fear, and win this tournament. Nothing would please me more than to see you in the winner's circle! :)

Thank you, Mike, for the kind words.

Maybe by April, we will be back on the road again. Keith hasn't cut his hair since he left Reno last year in September, thinking it's giving him good luck at poker on the Internet. LOL :D

I really do enjoy the venue at Turning Stone Casino, and I'm sure everyone there will be having a blast. So it's up to you local guys to give us some snippets from time to time on all of the smut! :p

I saw where Thorsten Hohmann lost his first round to Warren Kiamco. That must have been a great match. I'll bet that Thorsten must have felt a little fatigue, traveling back from Korea in recent times. The tournaments can really take a toll on a pool player, even one as young as Thorsten.

I'm looking forward to seeing who comes out on top! This is a very tough field, and whoever does make it to the top, it will be a very well-deserved victory! :)

You're right about Hohmann losing to Kiamco isn't such a big upset. After all, Kiamco did win their last bout against each other in the last IPT event.

I'm predicting Antonio Gabica to take this tournament down.

Warren is pure class and a top-notch player. He doesn't get the press other Pinoys do, perhaps coz he is so traditional (stance, execution, etc...) he is damn solid, so have no doubt...the Man got game!

I will hopefully be getting a call tonight from Frankie White who is en route to Turning Stone as I write this post. Maybe he will be able to shed some light on who's hitting 'em the strongest. ;)
