Turning Stone Results anywhere?

They have a computer room there, but it is locked up after 7:00 p.m.

I know because I used to use that computer when we were attending this event. I'm not sure if things have changed, but they do not have a good HIGH SPEED cable connection at Turning Stone last time I went, and so personal laptops, depending on your server, may not work well, which SUCKS and is incredibly frustrating. It costs money to use the computer room and/or their connection. Believe it or not, AOL works great at Turning Stone! LOL!

I know for a fact, though, that Mike Zuglan, the Joss Tour TD, will update Mike Howerton and AzBilliards every single day. So we may have to just be patient, unless somebody who is on site can figure out a way to post. The computer room is right across the hall from the venue site in the ballroom.

Here's a thread I posted in 2006 while at Turning Stone, with pictures too. I used to really love that tournament, and I loved posting on AzBillards too at that time: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=38912&highlight=Turning+Stone

That's funny that this guy started this thread to get updates on the Turning Stone event, and JAM gives him a link to a lame thread she posted in 2006. Way to help the guy out JAM! I'm sure you directed him just where he needed to be.

Heres what I heard

Van Boening beat Bucky Souvanthoung 9-5, it was even 5-5, but Van Boening continued to break and run from what I heard

The runner up last time, Jeremy Sossei (pronounced 'saucy') beat Cristina De La Garza 9-5, Jeremy was down 5-4 before he came back to win the next 5 racks.

Tony Robles lost his first match to Chuck Altomore, it went all the way to hill-hill, Robles was taking his time running the last rack, but poor cue ball position on the 6 ball landed him in a tough position, a very sharp cut, missed it, and chuck ran the next three balls, with some difficulty on the 9 ball.

Hey Jenny....I never met you personally but when Keith was staying round New Orleans area I put him in the box several times...Might I add we batted 1000...never booked a loser with him...the most memorable was in Baton Rouge when he played James Waldon with just the breaks....everybody in the joint thought we had a bad bet...it was only a 4 ahead set for a thousand 1 pocket but it was something to see...they went back in forth for awhile then James got on hill & ran out hill game and hit a combo 1 inch too short that would have won the set and Keith runs that game & starts nailing the break & hitting James with 8 & outs & mighta got the money with 7 in a row...also took him to lafayette to try and play chris miller but he wouldn't play without the 6,8 & last 4....i thought it was out of line but Somebody from new orleans took him back the very next night and he outrun the nuts...He always got a friend down here in cajunland...peace...Troy

JAM,

Do you think you and Keith will ever return to the (pool) tournament scene again?

S.

There are times when it seems like it is the right thing to do, and then there times when it seems like a bad move.

Hanging out on this forum doesn't do much by way of boosting one's enthusiasm for pool. Keith and I both have been attacked by various and sundry members of this forum, sometimes with actual bald-faced LIES. If I said it didn't hurt, I'd be lying myself.

The thought of Keith performing LIVE for some of the American pool culture, at least some -- NOT ALL -- who hang out on this forum, is not a happy thought for me. Keith's take on it, however, may be different than mine.

Houma, nice little town there.

We both will be heading your way later this year. Please do introduce yourself to me. Of course, you already know Keith!

Thanks for the kind words about Keith. How refreshing those are on this forum. Like a breath of fresh air for me. I will definitely share them with him today.

That "guy" is a member of this forum that I have come to know from his writings, and as such, since there was no information available yet, I posted up an old thread, yes, that I created when I was at the Turning Stone. There were some cool pictures in the thread, as well as some information which I thought would be useful to create a little Turning Stone cheer.

It is interesting that you found this thread about the Turning Stone I wrote as "lame." That said, though, you may just get about 10,000 points in GREEN rep. Anybody who posts mean-spirited comments and lies to JAM gets positive GREEN rep from the plethora of JAM haters, and, boy, oh, boy, there are many.

You're in GOOD company today on this forum, so please do join in on the fun. My days on here are limited, so you might as well get in a few good sucker-punches while you can.

Today, I am a branded woman on AzBilliards, as well as the favorite punching bag by the jokesters, trolls, bullies, and five-time banned man posting. In fact, there seems to be more of this ilk in recent times. Maybe it's what makes this forum so wonderful, beating up on people and making them feel like crap.

Congratulations for starting my day off -- the AzBilliards way.
