Turning Stone Results anywhere?

Here's a picture of one of pool's strongest supporters in the New England region of the United States, Oneida Tribal Member -- maybe an elder -- Maynard "Dip" Gabriel, as depicted on the right, posing with the head man at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino at the time I was there in 2006, the CEO, Ray Halbritter, on the left. Ray is also pretty high up on the totem pole when it comes to Native American affairs in these United States, FWIW.

When I was at the Turning Stone at this Joss event, I was wearing my Native American beaded sandals that I purchased at the Cherokee Trading Post in Oklahoma when we drove cross-country to Vegas. I was chatting with Maynard outside, the two of us sitting on a bench. Ray Halbritter pulled up to the casino in a white Cadillac, got out of his car, walked up to Maynard and immediately looked down at my feet.

He noticed my hand-beaded Native American sandals right away and complimented me on them!

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences Jam ... But remember not all of us feel that way in fact there are many here who like ya'll and would love to see Kieth play ... I thought you realized that on your 10,000 post ...

Not trying to preach to you and you certainly know what all you have been through better then I do ... But sometimes you have to look past all the bad to find the good in things... But I also understand that can be very hard to do once you have been hurt one to many times ...

You're right, and I know you're right! :)

It is just hard to start my day with swollen eyes, having to bang out 200-plus pages due tomorrow morning for an editor who is coming to my house between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

I should have spent more time working on this project yesterday instead of being on this forum. Big mistake on my part. My 150 WPM fingers will be beating the keyboard today. I can't wait to finish this project because I will have the last laugh when all is said and done. :)

Hey Jenny....I never met you personally but when Keith was staying round New Orleans area I put him in the box several times...Might I add we batted 1000...never booked a loser with him...the most memorable was in Baton Rouge when he played James Waldon with just the breaks....everybody in the joint thought we had a bad bet...it was only a 4 ahead set for a thousand 1 pocket but it was something to see...they went back in forth for awhile then James got on hill & ran out hill game and hit a combo 1 inch too short that would have won the set and Keith runs that game & starts nailing the break & hitting James with 8 & outs & mighta got the money with 7 in a row...also took him to lafayette to try and play chris miller but he wouldn't play without the 6,8 & last 4....i thought it was out of line but Somebody from new orleans took him back the very next night and he outrun the nuts...He always got a friend down here in cajunland...peace...Troy

Hey, Troy, what's going on? Man, you look huge in that picture, compared to when I saw you last. You must be working out, and life must be treating you good! I've gained some weight myself, since you and I were on our missions. LOL. I weigh about 180 now.

I haven't been playing much pool. I've been playing a lot of online poker, which is a tough way to go as you probably know, but there's a lot of money in it if you can get lucky. And playing online poker, you really have to get lucky. You make one mistake, and it seems like it's usually all downhill from there. So you got to make all the right decisions, especially in the tournaments. I've been close a few times in the big ones that pay a couple hundred thousand, made it down to the last 200 a few times, got my money in with the best hand, and all the times that I got my money in, it wouldn't hold up. Like I'd have Aces, they'd have 9's, and they'd flop a 9. I'd have Kings, they'd have 6's, they'd flop a 6. Just recently, I had Queens against 4's, and flop come 3, 5, 10, turn comes a 6, river comes a deuce, $400,000 pot with 200 to go. I was sick. Anyways, that's sort of what I've been doing lately.

I do miss playing the pool. That was sweet when Walden missed that easy combo. You were sweating your balls off, and I turned it all around, fortunately for us. That Chris Miller match was a little easier. I give him the 7, 8, the break, and the last 3. I caught a little gear on him. I think we played for 3 dimes a set, and I beat him two sets, racing to 21 each set. Miller played pretty good, but when he got a little heat put on him, he did dog it a little bit. Well, he has to dog it in order for me to win with the 7, 8, last 3, and the break.

I'll be heading to Louisiana soon. Let's hook up. Send me a PM with your phone number, and I'll give you a call. I talk to Ricky P off and on. He calls every once in a while. He wanted to fly me in to go to Mobile, but I didn't make it. I will next time. Peace to you, Troy. Hope to hear from you.

The story of the day at this event is Julie Kelly defeating Corey Deuel, fresh off his million-dollar 9-ball tournament win. Way to go, Julie! Great win!

Friday's matches, according to AzBilliards Home Page: Friday play will see a number of marquee matches as Mika Immonen faces Jose Parica, Jeremy Sossei plays Shaun Wilkie, Mike Davis takes on Raj Hundal, Ernesto Dominguez faces Francisco Bustamante and Tony Crosby plays Johnny Archer.

If this forum is causing you that much angst....why do you come here? I really don't think this place was designed to cause pain.

If I was a "worldison2," I would feel no pain either. It's kind of nice to have no identity, much better than posting as a known identity. You're absolteuly right!

When I die, I want to come back as a troll on AzBilliards. That way, I can give everybody a sucker-punch!

I'm not a troll. I have an identity. there are many people here who know who I am. Maybe if you took the time to READ the forum instead of just TYPING all the time you would know!

I will bet that I have read more of this forum than you, my friend. In fact, I am 100-percent positive of that fact.

Save your insults for another day. I've been beaten up enough this morning, don't you think?

I didn't call YOU a troll. I said I want to come back as a troll when I die.

Have a great day, Worldison2! :)

Another big story of the day at the event is Shawn Putnam getting beat by Hennessee from Tennessee, 9 to 3.

Joining Putnam on the B side of the charts is Corey Deuel and Tony Robles.

The one good thing about being on the B side of the charts, though, is that it keeps you playing and in stroke. You do have to win more matches, but you don't get cold.

In pool tournaments, it is always best to put a positive on every negative. :D

I really think that 48 posts in a day shows a form of mental illness. Especially whn you fight with everyone.

I really don't know when Keith's birthday is, but he could probably use a pair of heavy-duty EARPLUGS.

Have a nice day,JAM

Completely uncalled for. You just got the first red rep I sent.:smile2: Sorry to ruin you day.:embarrassed2:

Who won the Johnny Archer-Pete Bowman match? AZ has it as Archer, Inside Pool Mag has it as Bowman.

Archer won it. "Pretty easy" is what I heard. Getting updates via cell phone right now!

Black-Balled, you don't have to come down in the mud with me. Rise above it. I have received numerous PMs about this thread. Most don't want to voice their opinion, but to sum it up, most feel exactly the same as you do. :p

At least Worldison's words are more representative than any red rep anyone could give. ;)

Let's celebrate. This must be Post No. 50, if Worldison's numbers are correct! LOL!

Here's a couple fresh ideas:

1. Keep a thread on track

2. Don't take a thread further off-track by complaining about another member (new or old)

Edited: I normally don't take sides and have even previously mentioned that I thought JAM should be less confrontational as well as corvette, but her treatment in this thread is totally uncalled for. If she offends you that much, put her on ignore and never post her name on this forum.
