TurningStone Casino 9 Ball **FREE LIVE STREAM**

How did they get George Carlin to commentate along with Jerry F? :D
Ok, I'm clearly dating myself here . . .

I play at 8 pm EST. Watched some of Archer's match but too anxious to start playing so had to walk away from the match room.

Great tournament setup from my initial impression. If anyone has thought about playing in this tournament but has been reluctant to, I would give it a big thumbs up based on what I have seen so far and how it's run. Awesome 16 Diamond table setup in the event room. Spectators have free entry with plenty of seats in the stands, so it's well-worth coming out to watch if you were to plan a trip around it.

I'm not a huge casino fan, but it's another plus for those who like to gamble (might try some hold 'em later on, time permitting). The downside is I don't think they have a sportsbook here to bet on tonight's Saints-Packers game. :(

Highlight so far was to watch Pagulayan warm up and joke around. Have to appreciate his attitude compared to a couple of other guys that were cantankerous and feeling their poop don't stink.

Steam is good. Shane is struggling a little early in his match against Bucky, but it's a long way to go to 9. At the time of this writing, the score is 3-2, Bucky on top.

shane just lost :(

Wow! Poor Shane. Bucky is no slouch, though. He can play. Shane is probably
a little tired from all the traveling he does, too.

Well, he might have lost this first round, but he's still in this tournament,
but he'll be on the B side of the charts. Shane can make a comeback!

Congrats to bucky!!
This isn't the first time bucky and shane faced each other in the first round of turning stone classic. Last time Shane faced bucky it was back in 08 or 09 and they traded rack for rack up to 6-6, and Shane took over from there and won the next 3 racks.

Anyone else's stream not working? I watched the Shane and Bucky match. I just tried to get back on and it isn't loading.

Congrats Bucky!

Gotta pull for my hometown guy! He practices during my league play and is amazing to watch. Go Bucky!

Here we go ... thanks Jerry:

We know some of the matches we will stream today. So far they are:

12:00 Johnny Archer V Jeremy Sossei
2:00 Jennifer Baretta V Rick Matarazzo
4:00 Rodney Morris V Alex Pagulayan.

After that the matches are determined by who wins and who loses. I will try to keep you posted.

We at AZB and Accu-Stats hope that you are enjoying the coverage and especially the new electronic studio. Give us any ideas you may have on how we could better utilize the studio in future events. We are short-staffed here but will have more folks on hand to do more stuff at the U.S. Open.

Thanks for watching!

As they say, two and BBQ. Lost both matches 9-3. Both were gracious opponents. I was inconsistent at best which is the wrong stroke to be in against these caliber of players out here. However, quite simple, my two opponents shot better than I did. Felt good today but pooched a 9-ball that would have made it 5-4 my opponent.

No shame in who I lost to. Ben Zimmer has posted VNEA singles 9-ball titles out in Vegas and Jeff Kennedy has numerous Canadian titles to his name. Didn't feel out of my league or speed but consistency is huge at this level. Best of luck to both of them as I will root them along.

Sossei is shooting well from what I have seen so far. Just beat Archer a little while ago on the stream table. Now to get down to watch Morris & Pagulayan.

Just so you had fun Derek. I know that you have not had a great deal of exposure playing in tournaments at this level. The more you play in these, the more comfortable and tournament seasoned you will be.

Keep on, keeping on.

Doug

Hey Derek- unless you are used to the stadium type play it really is hard to be consistent. Add to this the speed of the cloth and the tight tables you are so far out of your comfort zone you end up playing at no more than 60% of your potential. I played in it years ago a few times. Had about the same result but it sure in the hell was a great time. And worth every minute.

Bob

Thanks Jerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our 6 PM match will be Johnny Archer V Ron Casanzio.

8 PM will be Rodney Morris V Mike Zuglan. Zuglan just beat Dennis Hatch on the hill with a VERY tough runout in the final rack. Beautiful to watch!
