[JoeyA]

It's the Kentucky Colonel, NICK VARNER.

Congratulations Nick. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Now go muster the troops and get that MOSCONI CUP back where it belongs, (ON THIS SIDE OF THE POND).

[Roy Steffensen]

Congratulations!

knows that it really doesn't matter who will be captain, or who will be playing, Team Europe will win anyway

[pt109]

captain Varner

sounds like a demotion from colonel but my 1rst choice for captain - hall of famer-universely respected and college educated - Efren once said - If i needed one US player to play ONE game for all my money i would pick Nick Varner -(roughly translated from Tagalog) good one Nicky

[hangemhigh]

Nick Varner is the best choice, congratulations and go USA

[the420trooper]

Nick Varner is the best choice, congratulations and go USA

I saw Varner captain the team in 2003, and he really knows how to get the guys fired up and supporting each other.

This should be pretty good.

Not a demotion

Just a change in service to the navy....
