Don't sweat so hard! I can hear you breathing.
Not really, rather enjoying it. But you obviously picked them right.
The focused players always make it to the top.
Good Luck buddy.

C'mon Louis Ulrich....Snap It Off

Well, of course I'm pulling for Ulrich as he's my only horse left in the race at v-bookie.
I recently watched Corteza beat Corey Deuel two sets for 500 jellybeans each at Hammerheads and he can definitely play great pool.
It should be exciting. Is it a single race or D.E. ? Anyone ?
Beuller ? Beuller ? Anyone ?
Doug

Edited to change Johnny Archer to Corey Deuel (I'm not certain how Johnny would feel about THAT, though) :)

Interesting......I went with Corteza, Feijen, Hohmann, and Some One Else (V Bookie), so I guess I'm in the money right now....:)

Can't decide on whom of the two to win.....but it would be great for Ulrich this "major" win.....(such a great field, and such a great performance by Ulrich).....

Is it single or double Elimination?

This is double-elimination format.

However, the finals is one long race, as I recall.

My only horse in this race is Louie Ulrich. Go Louie, go! :)

In a longer race, I will give Corteza the edge. He just beat Feijen, Souquet and Orcullo in convincing fashion.

Congrats Louie!

I played Louie 3 weeks ago in Atlanta at Mr. Cues for 2 days. The first day we played even one pocket and the next day we played even 10 ball. Both days were grueling and I thought he played great against me the whole time. Im glad to see that I have warmed up another good player and got him ready for a great showing at Turning Stone!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, just wanted to say he was a great guy to gamble with and he is perfect gentlemen to play with. Good Luck in the finals....LJON

I thought I woulda had a good showing but the finances just cant handle these events yet. Maybe soon though. LJON

Lee Van Corteza wins over Ulrich

Final match is over. Per the updated brackets, Corteza has won with a score of 13 to 7.

Congratulations!!!

Trivia

Here's a good trivia question for the AZB members: Who was the last regular AZB poster to beat Lee Van Corteza in a tournament ? For extra credit, what big tournament was it ? As usual, the prize for being the first one with the correct answer is *squadoosh.
Doug
( and what were they playing )

*SQUADOOSH:
2. squadoosh
Expression coined by Norman Chad, host of ESPN's World Series of Poker which serves as a substitution for the word NOTHING, or a lack of something.
