UltraSkins, Bad Tips Miscues

Tom you know I order a lot of your tips and I have not had one bad feedback as of yet. I think my install numbers for your tips so far is about 3500 tips in the last 3 years.
While we are on the subject of your tips I need 100 of the PRO let me know the price with shipping and I will send the funds.
Thank you for an outstanding product.

No, Tom. It's not the tips. I have been using and installing Ultraskins for over 1 year and have had No complaints. Usually any skipping is because nobody wants to do minimal maintenance on their cues or tips. A daily light scuff will eliminate skipping. The tips are great, but like Thomas Wayne says, ".. you can make a clean break and begin again with a clean start." I'm sure a few members will buy you out...at a discount. ;\....

tips

I have put on 5 ultra skins and no problems. I think they play
pretty good. can't beat the price! just sold a carolina custom and the guy could't believe the great hit it has with a new ultra skin tip.

one of local players got an UltraSkin PRO and later told me, that was the best tip he's played so far. And believe me, he's tried a lot! That tells something I guess.

Please go on with a great product Tom.

(just for the note, the tip was trimmed to about 60% of its initial height. Maybe that helps anybody who won't find the PRO that great)

I wouldn't know Tom. I only miscue a few times a year.

Best tip that I have played with so far. And I stock a fair variety of tips and have installed them all at one time or another to test them.

Only one of my shafts gets a Dud on it. The rest, Skins.

I told you that since they have been out, the Skins are the ones that I push.

No so much as one complaint. Well, that's not completely true. My Dr. was complaining because now he is able to draw a ball all way across a table.

Where as apparently before, he didn't know how to draw a ball.

So, how are these standing up in the Market at Seybert's vs Kamui? As well as ever?

Blue Hog,

Thanks for asking. Seyberts did away with most bought catagory but today UltraSkins are the only cue tips listed under most viewed products if you scroll to bottom.

Appreciated,

Keep selling Tom. Your tips are great. Your service is great. The only flaw i've had was trimming down your tips only to have them split in half. But because there isnt a perfect world. I accepted them as part of my cost.

Thanks for your tips.

Tom, no doubt that Kamui whined to Seybert's about that.

Glazing? Never had a problem, nor has anyone mentioned it to me.

Now, if you want a tip to glaze, put on a Black Kamui.

I do have a Players shaft that came with a Kamui soft. The few times that gets used, it has to be taken care of before each evening of play.

I can't remember the last time that I had to scuff any my shafts that have soft Skins on them. If I do, it is more just regular maintenance
whether they need it or not.

Ya know, I have to chuckle when I read that people are miscuing on a regular basis. I have been known at times to use extreme English and only the odd time, I miscue, I can tell 100% right away that it was my delivery and not the tip that was to blame.

If yer miscuing that often, chances are that you have more problems that just the tip. But, a person has to be able to blame either someone or something for their woes, right.

Using extreme English where you have only 1/4 to 1/2 of your tip on the Q Ball is not necessary. To me, extreme English is either side, but you still have a full tip on the ball.

I have a Friend that will only stray at the most, one full tip from center ball, and he seems to have absolutely no problem making the Q go where he wants it to. And that is pretty much what I do, with the exception of going out a tad further on a rare occasion.

did you make any photos of that? I never experienced anything even close to this with Ultras. Not even a single issue of delamination during install, let alone splitting.
So far I'd assume excess heat while trimmming might be the reason?

I have never seen an Ulraskin split or lamination come off

Tom, you can check how many of your tips I have purchased and I think I had 2 complaints of miscues. I investigated and one of them, someone reshaped the tip and the dome was way, and I meen way, off center. I threw it in the lathe and put a new dome on it and she's been shooting with it for almost a year, zero complaints. The other was a kid that shoots in my place who is a constant tinkerer. I dressed the tip and shot about 30 extreme english shots without rechalking and gave it back to him. I have several old timers shooting the Pro and they love them. I have never had a tip delaminate or deteriorate in any way. Not on any bandwagon either, I don't shoot with Ultra Skins. Brian.

best tip I've found every one I've sold to like them ty dave thompson coins-r-us and pool cues too 813 862 6894

Should I take the UltraSkin Layered Cue Tips off the market and start over? They are being described as the worst Tip in the Market place and nothing but Mis Cues. I don't want to be the cause of this.

I've been playing for 50 years and a tip NEVER caused a miscue in all those years. I do recall me miscuing when incorrectly aiming, not chalking up, not maintaining my cues tip, when my wife bumped my elbow... Nope, never had a cues tip jump in there and cause a miscue... just sayin..
