It is a mid-extension that converts big pin 3x8/10 into a uni-loc, I have a revo connected to it, when I screw it open or close it usually the one that comes open or close is the 3x8/10 from the joint of the cue. the Uni-loc doesnt open. I need to hold it from the mid-extension and unscrew the uni-loc pretty hard for it to come open which is fine.

But lately the uni-loc doesnt want to be open even if I do that, which I hold the mid-extension firmly and try to unscrew the revo itself to come out from the extension, but it is stuck! what can I do to open this? I kept hearing about uni-loc being weak but man I now disgree, I think the uni-loc is the strongest pin ever.

Maybe put some rubber bands on it so you can get a better grip.
be careful, i've had the uniloc strip loose from the shaft. maybe don't tighten it so hard? the threads tend to tighten against themselves automatically anyway.

yes I agree, maybe sometimes I do the tightening during my shots, I dunno why but now how to open it? I'll give a try to the suggestion above which I liked.

Clean the threads real good on the uni-loc portion of the mid extension. Make sure the shaft threads are free of debris as well. Get you one of those rubber gripper jar opener gizmos.

But a very light coat of some light grease on the uniloc pin threads--and restrict it to only the threads on the pin.
Very light, as in put as little as you can put on, then try to wipe it all off.

It's easier to get the oil off the shaft threads. I had a hell of a time trying to clean my uniloc butt threads. :(
I use one drop of tri-flow with teflon.
Get all the oil off with a q-tip before you screw it together. A microscopic amount should remain to do its job, any more will attract dirt.
Clean the joint protectors with a dry q-tip.

If the screw and the insert are of the same material, it can create a bond. Change the screw if that’s the case.

There were many threads of this issue years ago.

If be surprised if the googles didn't have plenty of info on the topic.

how can I clean it if its not coming open
Good morning
The short answer is, you don't. Get it to a cue mechanic with experience.
The uni loc system is very very good but the problem with it starts when the parts are made and EVERYONE who buys it to install thinks SOMEONE else already took care of the maintenance part.
That is polishing. The screws look like then go thru a Tumbler polishing. It's ok but leaves scratches that dust can build up in creating dirt and the pieces fuse together. The other problem is players usually slam it together, creating more scratches.
So.... The process for installing it is. Polish it first. Very simple using a dremil polishing and compound rouge. Then you the player, once a month or two months, use a Q tip with something like alcohol, finger nail polish remover, etc etc and clean the inside of the brass insert and joint screw. Very simple process.

how can I clean it if its not coming open

Hold the butt in one hand and hit the joint with the butt of the other hand. While the cue is still vibrating, unscrew it.

Then clean out the joint with alcohol, cue tip. Put it together again, whack it a few times again with the butt of hand. Repeat cleaning until not dirt. Lightly lube. Keep clean.

This vibrating technique can also be used to tighten a joint.
