Unknown older cue on eBay

Is there a thread going about this one?:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120541409267&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

What is it? It's up to $1,525 as I type with 1 day and 10 hours remaining.

Must be something special.

I would be very careful with that transaction. The cue was originally listed as a possible Balabushka, but it certainly isn't there are two many Red Flags. The cue sold to the person now trying to sell it, and then he listed the cue, and it did not sell. No ones knows for certain if he is some how connected to the first seller or not.

The only thing that is for certain is that the cue is not Balabushka, or a Szamboti, and that it APPEARS the cue is unidentified by most.

I would stay away, there have been a number of threads concerning this cue on this forum during all the transaction I listed above. This forum also has some of the top collectors and dealer in the country and if they have not jumped on this cue it's a good bet that it is not worth the asking price.

Here is a link to the last time the cue was for sale on eBay!!

Yeah, I believe it is the same cue

Also, it was at $770 until around 4PM today.

All the sellers have been different ebay names, and I will be surprised if it goes much higher, but you never know. This cue has moved more in the last 3 weeks than a bourbon street dancer.

But it is entertaining to watch.

plus he could have a friend bid on it,if the friend wins then relist saying nonpaying bidder...ive bid on a few cues in the last year or so,then the lister ends the item early...damn ebay the days of deals on there is almost over....sigh

Same cue 7 years ago

Damn, BlackWidows! Nice save and find on the old listing! I store stuff like this too, but this was a proverbial 'rabbit out of a hat'!

Normally I don't bump ebay listings unless I was trying to sell. This things over $2k now. I wonder how many folks bidding are AZers? Heck I wonder if the person selling is an AZer?

All I can say is WOW......someone is taking a chance......

In the auction from seven years ago, He says "Huebler butt (standard with Bal's)"...He didn't know crap about this cue or Balabushkas cues. I would be very wary of spending much on this one.

Three owners and still no COA.?

THAT CUE SCREAMS "VERL HORN"

Marcus

This a Verl Horn Bushka copy from the same time period. You can see the resemblence. But I was informed Jerry Rauenzahn may have made this cue. The guy who had it originaly 7 years ago stated it was his grandfathers cue. The listing ended early with no sale. Lst time this cue was seen until a few weeks ago

IT'S CERTAINLY POSSIBLE THAT JERRY, OR SEVERAL OTHERS MADE THE CUE, BUT THERE ARE MANY THINGS ABOUT THE CUE THAT POINT TO HORN. I CAN'T SAY FOR SURE, AND JERRY IS OUT OF TOWN, SO I CAN'T SEND HIM AN E-MAIL ABOUT IT. I'M SURE HE WOULD LET ME KNOW IF IT WAS ONE OF HIS.

EITHER WAY, IT'S A NICE OLD CUE, BUT IT'S POSSIBLE THAT NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW "FOR SURE"

Verl is who I thought made it when I saw it last time around also. Verl made more than a few 'tribute' cues and this looked like one. I am, however, unfamiliar with Jerry's work.

This cue needs to be in the hands of Pete Tascarella. I'd love to see what he has to say about it.
