Unusual Old Photo

Upon further examination... there is a prybar on the ground next to the table with the shovel on it. But next to the guy to the right, leaning on the table is a cue made in the Phillipines...

Definitely post fire demolition. Hope he had insurance... today with the state of pool, here is an owner that might have figured out the only way to get out of his room without losing...

I take back what I said. After a more careful examination of the alleged fire scene, it appears that there was indeed a conflagration.
The photo also shows that the floor (under the snooker tables) has collapsed. Doubtless, some of the joists were destroyed by the fire, or perhaps a supporting wall fell, causing the floor to give way.
Now, regarding the men posing for the camera. I don't believe they are from the fire service. Almost always, when a fire has been knocked down, hot spots and embers accounted for, and the premise secured; the fire laddies will head back to the Fire House for coffee and caramel rolls, smeared liberally over the top with peanut butter. Some of the less seasoned veterans, of course, may prefer milk.

Look at how close the tables are. I guess I'm not particularly observant because I just noticed a third table to the left with a shovel on it. There is so much crap on that table it is hard to see. Is there a 4th table under where the two railbirds are standing, or is that a car? lol.

They obviously cleared off the table they are playing on. I can't imagine there is any cloth on the table. On the other hand, it almost looks like the rubber rails are still there, but hard to tell. Are those leather pockets still in good condition? It strikes me a little odd that these large wooden objects in the middle of a massive fire survived so well.

It looks to me like they are standing on the roof which has collapsed down on to a table.

These guys are in such a rush that they're shooting at the same time. Ya'd think they were going to a fire or something.

According to my tineye search, the largest image available is about 160k, it's here:

Would be a bit blurry if more than 8 inches wide.

Edit: Found one nearly 300kb on google. http://i.imgur.com/Zp0r4Kt.jpg
