Big difference on wishing someone who has had an accident a speedy recovery and defending someone who has been involved in bad business dealings.

If Dave would have came on here and apologized, saying that he realized he didnt' respond properly, people would have backed him 100%.

That is not Dave's MO. He gets defensive, blames everyone else, calls people names, tells us how good of a guy he is because he could have stolen a cue but didn't, tells us that he is GODS gift to cue making and that we won't have him to kick around anymore, etc....

In the past Dave has pulled some bad shit on a couple upstanding members here. He didn't get away with it then and shouldn't now.

Just my opinion!!
 
Like jbravo, I really am not sure why the mods locked up the Dave Sutton thread on the for sale forum.

In addition to the thread serving as a cautionary tale, I honestly thought that some progress may have been made in getting Dave to see the error of his ways.

Alternatively, it just may have been time for me to get the prescription strengthened on my rose-colored glasses.

To my friend, Cyrex, who couldn't have been more patient and polite with Dave, what he wrote back to you on pm was pure nonsense.

Just curious, Rex, did you just change what's written under your avatar (trust no one) as a result of your DS dealings, or has it always been there?

You hit it right in the head, Poolhustler. It's amazing how someone so fairly respectable can change completely the other way. He stiff me for a few hundred bucks and lies about our transaction, but still I'm ready to forgive him if he only make things right. BTW who's that girl on your Avatar. She's a beauty!!

Let's say I'm a bit more educated now. And frankly, a bit burnt out due to several experiences here. I can see why time and time again good people give up on this forum. Can't get top pro's to post here (and stay long) and can't get top cue makers to post either. Wonder why that is? :o
