I want to be clear. Whatever I say is exactly what I mean. If that turns you off that's cool. If you lost respect for me just ask yourself who the **** is asking you to find it? Before I type whatever I type I always ask myself is the risk worth the reward, and in all cases it has been.

I've staked people, loaned them money, let people play on credit, wait forever to get paid, never get paid back large sums of money, had tournaments with money in them, gamble regularly, and after all the shit I've done and times I have been shitted on I'm still right here.

So Ray if you don't want to play with me or anyone from AZ anymore, good luck to ya. Athens if you can't take an opinion that's different than yours or in opposition of you, good luck to ya. Anyone else who is bothered or offended that wasn't my intention so if any of it did impact you...I'M GLAD and good luck to ya.

I would hope No One would quit over peoples opinions :(

7pm is start time but we blind people in as long as we know they are coming. Blinds start out small enough where you would still have 90% of your stack at 8:30.

Garth Brooks - Against the Grain.
-------------------------------------
Folks call me a maverick
Guess I ain't too diplomatic
I just never been the kind to go along
Just avoidin' confrontation
For the sake of conformation
And I'll admit I tend to sing a different song
But sometimes you just can't be afraid
To wear a different hat
If Columbus had complied
This old world might still be flat
Nothin' ventured, nothin' gained
Sometimes you've got to go against the grain

Well, I have been accused
Of makin' my own rules
There must be rebel blood
Just a-runnin' through my veins
But I ain't no hypocrite
What you see is what you get
And that's the only way I know
To play the game
Old Noah took much ridicule
For building his great ark
But after forty days and forty nights
He was lookin' pretty smart
Sometimes it's best to brave the wind and rain
By havin' strength to go against the grain

Well, there's more folks than a few
Who share my point of view
But they're worried
If they're gonna sink or swim
They'd like to buck the system
But the deck is stacked against 'em
And they're a little scared
To go out on a limb
But if you're gonna make a difference,
if you're gonna leave your mark.
You can't follow like a bunch of sheep
You got to listen to your heart
Go bustin' in like old John Wayne
Sometimes you got to go against the grain

Nothin' ventured, nothin' gained
Sometimes you've got to go against the grain
I can't believe you quoted a country song:) You are turning over a new leaf buddy!

My mom busted her wrist up and she did the same thing. Went to Walmart and bought a brace for less than $10. Her insurance deductable was gonna charge her more than $50 for it.

So, bring your fancy cast and lets see how it slings chips!!!

I will pencil you in for our game next month........

Sooo thanks to everyone who came out and supported the one pocket tournament today. I think it was another huge success. We had 18 players come had a prize pool of $470 and we finished the tournament in 9 hours. I think that's pretty damn sporty.

Thanks to big dogs for the tables, the 2 for 1 drink special, adding $50 to the tournament and letting everyone play on the bar tables during the tournament.

I think people found my break contest to be a highlight of the day. I don't think people realized how high the pot gets in a short period of time. Congrats to Ronnie for snapping it off and taking home $165 just for making a ball on break more than everyone else, not bad for 40 mins of work.

Personal shoutouts to Jason R., Justin, Phil, Mike Henderson, Kirk Glass, Drunk Derek, Jesse Bowman, Troy H., Jon Brown, Rick G., Jimmy, Theo, Jon V., Dean, Flip, Shannon, Ronnie, and even me for playing in the tournament and being good sports. I think everyone who played enjoyed the format. For the most part the tables were being played on constantly.

Tournament Results - 1st: Jesse Bowman $200, 2nd: Mike Henderson $130, 3rd: Justin Richardson $90, and 4th: Troy Honeycutt $50

Winner Take All Break Contest: Ronnie $165

Big table 10 ball tournament in a couple weeks probably on March 13th. One again thanks to all who played and enjoyed the tough competition. I hope to see most people back and to the guys who couldn't make it due to refereeing or being stuck at work it's all good come on out next time. I appreciate the continued support of the tourneys on the large tables. Everyone is certainly welcome to play the 10-Ball.

I had a great time, once again you ran a good tournament. Big Dogs supported this one, and got the diamonds recovered WHICH IS AWESOME ! ! !

The break contest was cool, it's also great that ronnie won since noone thought he could !

I didn't mind that Jesse showed up, some people were grumbling. I had to play Jesse and got murdered. Not many situations where you can play someone of his calibur for $15.

Im glad you ran the tournament DDC style since most people from here have never experienced something like that.

Anyhow i had a great time, can't wait for another month.

Sounds like a great tourney, really wish I could have been there. I'm hoping to make your next 1P tourney though.

It was definitely a fun time. Still curious on why Donny did not play when Justin offered to stake him. I am assuming he already had plans, otherwise why even come up for an hour? Intimidation lol? Probably the only suggestion I could think of was to start an hour or two earlier or start right away with two tables on the break contest to speed it up. There was minimal bickering during the whole time which was nice to see. Nice tourny Frost. I had fun drinking for free after hitting the $45 ticket jackpot on one of the slot machines there.

Don M. I think skipped because the tourney got started at 3:30PM or whatever and no one really knew how fast the tourney would go. I could attempt to get it started a hair earlier.

I think the 10-Ball will be more fast paced. I might try some mini tourneys or something for next time.

Also thank Stephanie when you see her. I gave her about a 10 minute briefing on every part of the tourney, I know its not rocket science, but she did a very good job handling money, keeping track of rebuys, and staying on top of the draw. I think she really helped things go yesterday.

The 2 for 1 special on everything was definitely cost effective. Sweet tea and mountain dew adds up for some, of course my drinks add up.

Pool is fun! There will be a Jesse-Cap next tourney where he is spotting everyone 1-game. I say this because he cut through folks like butter and clearly plays on another planet than us. If Don M. and Jason Chance were playing I think he would have had to tighten up some.

I also enjoyed watching! Good tourney frost. Plain and simple. I look forward to seeing more of it.

Thanks for putting on a good tournament Mikey. It was a bit of a grind for me to cash, but I enjoyed the format. Maybe next time I will draw a bye sometime to get a little rest.

It would be nice if Big Dogs opened at noon on one pocket day. That way we could get started by 1 or 2 instead of 4 and it could be over before midnight. (we could easily get 24 people next time instead of 18)

For a first time event, this tournament gets a:

Thank you, real question is what number do we cap the tournament at? Also if we get 24, do we go to a race to 2? Only match I wish didn't get drawn, was Jesse and Phil. That was the lowlight of the tourney because Phil thinks I set him up. He doesn't like that there is a chance he would have to play Jesse again after he got beat by him. Brackets would not work for a one pocket tourney cause you get to a point where you can't maximize the tables.

Dios mio, I'm open to any and all suggestions. Also please feel free to make suggestions for the upcoming 10-ball tourney on the 13th. I know some of the one pocket guys wont necessarily play 10-ball but there were some 10-ball guys who didn't play one pocket. I think a lot of people came by and hung out at big dogs on saturday where it normally is pretty dead.
