right like going into threads and telling people how you got em on purmabanPretty much. Another meaningless reply. His specialty, never says anything or adds to a thread. Just these go nowhere/do nothing replies. All he ever comes with.
These "US Open" wannabe events usually draw small, and often forgettable, fields. Perhaps they need to rename these events "Interplanetary Open".
These is a very popular magazine called Women's World. If they sponsor an event, I wonder if it will be called the Women's World Championship.
Well actually, Mark bought the rights to the "US Open One Pocket" name from Matt, so at least in that respect it is the legit US One Pocket Open.
The other problem is the multi-event format that goes on and on. Mark was a big fan of these two week events arguing it was great for the players because they didn't have to travel once they got there. But realistically, the whole thing turns into a very expensive hostage situation that drags and drags,
I believe there are plenty of players that would happily support this given proper notice of the dates (and not being held hostage for days on end).

I never heard of one in Baton Rouge. Buffalo’s big one is in mid-MayThe other consideration is the fact that everybody who is anybody is already signed up for the One Pocket tournament in Baton Rouge next month, with the potential of $400 or $500K in play thats the place to be.
Still should be more than 25 at a big 1p event in Vegas. Ton of US players that don't play on the WNT tour.
Yeah...weird.
Tons of solid players between az and so cal alone.
I don't think the event name has much effect on registrants.Maybe because they all think they would have no chance of Cashing in an event called, The US Open. Even Savannah Easton played in it though, lol.
The whole thing is piss poorly run. Poorly advertised. The four events run for two weeks consecutively after the Predator/CSI/BCA two weeks of events. Burnout? Who wants to sit in Vegas for four weeks and pay that nut? With those low of turnouts the events should be shortened in days. Also why no 1P starting yesterday? What were players doing yesterday while waiting for only a handful to play the final Banks rounds. Have the events overlay each other like Derby.
I don't go one 1P.org. Did the promoters advertise anywhere other than Griff's Facebook page?
Vegas is a tough nut to crack these days. Long gone are the days of a cheap date and eating steak when you’re broke. That has to be a factor. But still with the $ in the 1P one would think there’d be a better turnout. Far as I know everyone likes Griffs. I was there for a week earlier this month.

It’s 400$ entry that’s crazy . If it were 250$ probably 60 plus players would sign up . A couple years ago it was 330$ . 400& entries should get a free night or two from a hotel .
Next you get a thought, don't. The Pros sure don't see it that way.I was just thinking the same thing. Like, wow, The Predator events just ended, and now they are having these US Open Events at Griffs? Wow, the Pros are in Vegas for like a Month, or longer? That sounds almost unbelievable. One Pro event after another after another, for a month. Sounds like Heaven to me, lol. I was thinking, I wish I lived in Vegas. Would have loved to see it live, and see Shane run a 12 Pack of 8 ball, without missing a ball, lol.
Wow.Looks like only 25 players in this. why so few?
I wonder how many players enter the DCC One Pocket event. I wonder what the entry fee is for both events. I could understand only 25 players, if the entry fee is $1,000, for example. The Buffalo's One Pocket Classic (in New Orleans) only gets like 16(?) players, but the entry fee is very large. I think it is at least a $1,000 entry fee.
I think the DCC concept would work at least another time a year in another part of the country.AZ seems good the problem with Vegas is you are trapped there Thats one of the reasons why it was such a brilliant idea.I wonder how many players enter the DCC One Pocket event.
