US Open 1pocket pathetic turnout....????

One of the greatest sequence of shots that will ever happen in billiards. Not kidding, a truly special display.

Didn't Bugs do something like this and Freddy the Beard put it in a book to basically document a god like run?

Anyone who complains about this free stream seriously needs to think about what in the hell they are complaining about. Its been pretty damn good.

Ho-lee-chit!

That was one of the most beautiful things in pool I have seen…

How do you even see that layout ? Let alone run it?!!?!?

I need to learn how to play 1 hole…

ETA: I made my wife watch it LoL she couldn’t care less. All she said was “it looked like the balls weren’t going to make it”.

Evan wins 5-1. The run in game 4 is destined to go viral.

All I can say about the commentating is it is obvious the chat generated the income. Not paying attention to the shot being played and seeing the real path of the balls is waaay more accurate then guessing how it was accomplished. For example banking a ball into a dead combo in the stack is not the same thing as banking the ball off the bottom of the stack into your pocket. If nothing else ask what happened and the chat will answer you 12 times and some will even be correct.😉

I wonder how many players enter the DCC One Pocket event. I wonder what the entry fee is for both events. I could understand only 25 players, if the entry fee is $1,000, for example. The Buffalo's One Pocket Classic (in New Orleans) only gets like 16(?) players, but the entry fee is very large. I think it is at least a $1,000 entry fee.
Buffalo’s entry fee is $2000, the last time I played Derby it was $220. Buff’s tournament is up to 44 players with that $2000 entry fee.

mine can appreciate flashy jump shots and 9's on the break, that's about it. one pocket is the best game of all cue sports, but it's a dead end for casual viewers
Yrs ago me and a friend were playing 1p. Two ball slammers were watching for a sec and one said to the other that we must be the worst 8b players he's ever seen. We laughed about that a long time. 1p is an 'acquired taste' for sure.

thats what it takes to get large payouts and interest in big tournaments. not small entry fees and large fields. that comes later.
and there are tournaments for those players.

if you have a real chance in a tournament you can easily get partners or backers for your entry fees. if you cant it tells you something.
