Well they have those things in AC. Maybe not the lot owner. But there's watchtowers and machine guns.
All kidding aside, its gotten better down there in the area around the casinos.
As it turns out, if you're a Marriott member you get about a $40 discount off the booking.com price, so $112/night with all taxes, fees and parking for a room with two double beds.
Roundtrip airfare Oakland/Philadelphia was $302 (Southwest).
I will be driving PHL/Atlantic City on both Sundays and will have room for a passenger or two.

Such a deal! They learned quickly (Resort fees!) from their predecessors in Vegas. Call me old school, but I still like staying in a nice motel where I can park right outside my room and not have to walk through the casino to get to it. Plus no parking fees and no resort fees! There are lots to chose from in Vegas.
Really in and out privileges? I need to sign up for this! For less than $30 a day! What a deal!
