They are changing hotels again, back to the best one, as someone says, the Marriott, hopefully this will make everything go smooth and everyone happy again, got my toes crossed!

They must be accepting Barry's Marriott reward points instead of cash.

It would be the proper thing to do for Barry to release a statement confirming all players, vendors and staff etc. have been fully paid. I have not seen any such statement. Without this happening this event is severely tainted IMHO.
Agreed 100%, IF NOT done as you say, it should be in someone elses hands!
I don't think that is going to happen, however, we should not worry about that at this moment. I am certain that this issue will be rehashed over and over before the actual date of the tournament. Another possibility is that the ABP will probably issued a press release with a proposed boicot if players have not been paid as we suspect.
...and whom do you suggest?
The US Open is Barry's baby and I don't think he will give it up to anyone. .....and if a possibility remotely exists, there are really no takers at this moment.
its not just the players getting paid. Staff and suppliers also need to be properly paid. This isn't the first time for these shenanigans from the Behrmans. Didn't Barry's son run it at one time and stiff some players? Then Barry took it back over and said he wouldn't make good because he wasn't the promoter at that time? Obviously having someone else hold the entry fees does not work. Promises were made, gifts were exchanged and it was the same old song and dance from team Behrman. The Behrmans have no credibility left at all. I for one am tired of their lies. I won't attend or buy the stream.

Guess we'll have to wait and see what will happen. Barry must know that he needs to address these issues but then it has happened so many times and he still gets the support from the fans and players. We just don't know how people will react this year.
I find it hard to believe he will have strong support from the pro players. Fans get their show and all but when the quality and quantity of pro players gets watered down will the fans still plunk down the cash? I realize no one cares if I go or buy the stream but they way the Behrman's handle their business bothers me.
Barry's son never ran the US open. Brady ran a tourney that he promoted as the Masters. Yes, there were problems with payouts, and he needed to resolve them. Not his father.

I understand some staff members including TD'S were not paid on a timely basis as well as some suppliers/vendors. Has any public statement been issued that declared everyone has been fully paid? Because I have not seen any such press release.
None that I know of. I believe that some of the top 6 have still not been paid in full.
How do you think last years winners are going to get paid? Need those early entries quick!!!
What would happen if my whole crew descended upon Behrmans pool room en mass and we racked up a large bill and when it came time to settle up we declared we will write you a post dated check, ok?
