US Open 9-ball updates thread..

Are you the guy that said he was done dealing with me?

Is that you?

I’ve put on more tournaments and added more money to them than you so far. I know a little more than you about it.

I wasn’t involved in pipe dreams, they were real events.

Want to bet on that?
I've sponsored some $5K added events, how much have YOU put up of your OWN money??

Come up with something better than using my Unicorn reference.

Like…get on the back side of these nuts bitch. 👍🏻

You just don’t know many pool players is all. When the older guys start dropping dead there won’t be as many making a living gambling. The younger ones aren’t too bright.
I'm flat-out calling you a liar, or just plain stupid. There are no pool players making a living at gambling. Supplementing their income only... But not as their sole income. And just to make you happy I'll combine the two... Get on the backside of unicorn nuts.

Go ahead and believe what you want.

You and Glen can bicker back and forth about stuff that ain’t going to happen.

Sure you have.

I had tons of tournaments at my pool room.

The Rack in Livonia, Mi

Palastinian Richie has it now.

You’re a weird dude Glen
I guess you didn't know I've owned 3 pool rooms in the past, until I got out of the pool room business, I saw the future coming!!

And how do you see your plans for the youth working out? With nothing to look forward to other than the way pool is structured today, unless pool changes at the top, I see no hope for the future youth players, other than the life of gambling.
Dammit Glenn! Your skull certainly is thick!! How many times do I have to say that you need to take care of both ends. That means making sure the pros get paid well and making sure they earn it. I'm not disagreeing with you on that point. Stop being so goddamn dense!

I'm saying you got to start people into it to make it continue! How is that so fucking hard to understand?

And you're right about the gambling part. That image needs to change. Hustlers and gamblers need to be gone. We need good sportsmanship. And starting people young is going to help bring that along

Don't think I don't have plans for the youth, upcoming players too😅

I realize pool needs fixed at both ends, top and bottom, but I have to pick one to fix first, and that's the top end.

Thank you. We have to get our youth off of their phones and video games as often as possible. And it may be a dream, but I see pool as a possibility of doing that... Just because I love the game so much.

The best way to get pool tables into high schools is to start by getting pool tables back into colleges, they're getting rid of them all the time now. The youth needs a scholarship program that they can earn colleges scholarships to the colleges that support this sport. Then, that will bring credibility down to the high schools as a reason to put in pool tables, no different than tennis courts.

Agreed. As I see it, pool tables are disappearing from colleges because the kids going to college have no interest in it. That needs to change. And that has to happen as they are in High School. Maybe even Junior High. God I wish I would hit the lottery. I know I could make it happen. At least in the schools in my area.

You'd be on the path...

I have a thing I like to say when people start telling me what I need to do, or forget what I'm trying to do, it goes like this;

"The hardest jobs to do, are made easy by those that do not have to do them"

If any of you guys posting about getting youth involved in our sport are serious I'd suggest you support Ra Hannah and his Junior International Pool Tour. Rather than just talk about it, Ra is doing something and he has created a cohesive tour for young players to compete in. It has proven very popular in only its second year with large fields of players. Talk is cheap! I've put some of money behind Ra and wish him success in his endeavor to promote pool for young people. You can see matches from all of his tournaments on Youtube. Just look for On The Wire Creative Media. The streams have been free and the competition has been good. There are already many good young players in the USA and thanks to Ra many more are being developed.

Funny how you seem to believe in that program, but you think I'm a nutcase😅

"If you're going to dream, dream big dreams, they don't cost any more"

The man behind this profound quote is none other than the genius German scientist Albert Einstein. He emphasised the importance of sticking to what you want to do, even when others think it's 'unrealistic'. "The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.” 14.Aug 31, 2021

Now you are going to tell me how financially responsible I am. Damn Glen, you sure take the cake.

I'm not rich, but I'm not in that much debt either. I manage what I have. The only debt I have is my house, but who doesnt?
