US Open Jim Wych drinking game

It is easy to make fun of announcers, but I would like to see anyone here commentate on matches for hours on end and not repeat the same things.

Also, remember that the announcers are trying to make it interesting for the casual fan (many of whom are snooker fans if anything). It is not the same as an Accu-Stat match where only hard core players are watching and would have any interest in war stories or other personal anecdotes.
.

Gideon, treat them like Chuck Norris jokes....Whychy will get a laugh out them.
....come up with one

I’ve alway wanted to gamble with someone who needed the fact that the two ball is blue
pointed out to him....no for much though....8 or 9 hundred a game will do.

I don't know what color the cueball is, whatchu wanna do?
Jason

PS, I'll buy the first 8 beers

Best post. This is a tribute. Best quote ever from Jim: When Shane beat Ronnie Alcano for his first US Open title, “All hail Shane Van Boening!” “Come gather around your Champion!”

Jim knew back then we had an American Goliath. In Biblical times it didn’t matter how many men you had it only mattered if you had the one champion. So who is going to be the David to launch a stone into SVB’s head?

That's Ted with the heavy breathing. He might have some condition or maybe allergies of something. He makes the same breathing noises I do. I would bet he uses a CPAP machine.

By far Karl and Jimmy are the best commentators for this event. And Ted is pretty exciting.

But that 4th guy I can do without. Talking about the Brit with the heavy accent who is clearly biased and loves to see USA lose.

I'm with you there. I like Ted and Jimmy, and Karl has been a welcome addition to the team. The other Brit seems out of his depth here showing a glaring lack of knowledge about the players and the game of 9-Ball. There were many instances of this but one that stood out was when when a player missed a fairly straightforward jump shot and lucked the ball in two rails. He said, "He desrved to make it because he'd made such a good effort." I'm thinking what did he just say!

I always like saying, “the two ball, the blue ball” because of me the rhyme.

I think the commentators are doing a great job.

I, too, have detected a little anti-American sentiment from one of them. However, under these circumstances, they would probably detect a little pro-American sentiment from myself as well!

I guess my point is, it's all good. I usually find myself cheering for the person he's rooting against in those instances, and when they win, he's lost and I've won. lol
