Vegas and Casino Betting on pool

The one sure fire thing that would put pool on the map and TV would be Vegas and Casino's around the country to take bets on it. Has or is anyone working this angle? Johnnyt
 
Who would you bet on besides SVB or the Philipinos?

'Off shore' betting on pool has been around and not very successful.

European betting on pool has been around for a long time. But, if I am not mistaken, no USA event bets.

Vegas betting? was there once... got screwed.. not their anymore. Most of the book makers know about pool players.

I saw that match in the challenge of champions and the favorite cut the combo the wrong way for the win. No way the 9 was going in. No comment on the ethics. But if it was obvious to me ..... no one should be in the dark on this.
 
Casino Betting on pool

Regarding the Challenge of Champions (assuming a dump was made) what did the players who didn't want to be involved with the dump do? Did they dump the earlier matches as to not be involved with the TV matches? Seems ironic to me that the players who didn't want to be involved with the major dump had to do a minor dump to stay out of it. It all seems awful sh*ty to me!
 
Yeah it would be way too easy to dump...it would be more crooked than boxing.

can someone say SVB vs alex the lion paguyalan #2 BAD BLOOD rematch.

put that on HBO.

I want you to clarify your meaning here.

Are you trying to say their was something going on in that match besides Alex proving he has the biggest heart on earth ?

If you (the con) know who you have in your pocket, you just wait around and see. If the matches go your way, then no problem. If the matches do not go your way, I guess the con has to "arrange" something around the semis. Anyway, I've watched too many movies to say that the con will anticipate every scenario.

No not at all i saw that match and like you said alex is a champion.

i was just making fun of boxing posters.
and if there was vegas betting i think it would become a joke like boxing instead of being a great sport like it was.

Any idea how this would work?I cant see anyone touching this,many of the players would cut up the casino,promoters..whoever is involved.
