Hi Guys!
My wife Felisa has an excellent suggestion for the name of Gary's new room.
Pure Stroke!
What do you guys think?
Chad in Vegas
Oh the Cue Club ... I didn't know because I stopped going there some time ago. Unfortunately the neighborhood, and the plaza that contains the Cue Club have really gone down hill.
No fault of the business, but myself, and several other players I know, have stopped going there for any reason - after dark walking to your ride in the parking lot is a little sketchy. Unless you are prepared to draw and fire just stay away from this area.
This is why all the New Car dealers have fled from the area, it's a shame really, 12 years ago it was a completely different story.
If I see you at the new Club Charleston I'll but you a drink and we can play some.
Fresh Sushi and Japanese beer. I would go there just for that.
Randyg and I did one of our 3-day pool schools at Club Charleston a couple of years ago. The description was not innaccurate, but we found the owner to be easy to deal with. We had a great school with 8 students. Perhaps we'll go back and see if we can work with the new owners to host another pool school!

It is in NC. One hall appealed and took it to the state supreme court and lost. Bank on it! Look me up if you're near Greensboro.
BTW, where is this "re-newed" Vegas hall located?

I lived in Vegas 15 years ago and played at the cue club, it was a very bad plaza then. I recall the windows being shot out at the cue club back then, drive by style.
Shame to hear that Best is closed. I'm on my way to Vegas Sept 22-25th and looking to play. Is this place open now? If anyone would like to spar you can shoot me a PM.
Nick
I have been around the Cue Club a while now and I have never seen or even heard of stuff like that going on.
Well it happened.
I lived there when Toby was running it.
Ian practically lived in there, seen him sleep there several night.
And Ben that had the slot machines played and gambled there, while he chased Toni around until he got with her, ended up having kids, she now lives back in Florida, she's good friends with my GF.
Good Timez is open
The Bar & Kitchen not yet.
The poolroom area is very classy, No smoking in the pool table area, Bathrooms are new and immaculate.
6 Diamond 9 footers
6 Diamond 7 footers
1 6X12 snooker table
Good to hear.
I have been in Vegas several times, and was surprised at the Cue Club and the lack of decent pool rooms there.
Hopefully this will be a great place for the folks.

\OK so here is the deal.
There was a Pool Room called "Club Charleston" that recently went out of business.
I only went there a few times because all the tables had yellow felt )
\
YELLOW CLOTH. Yeah, that place needed to close
I was in St. Louis a few years back, and the tables were covered in PINK cloth, I kid you not. It was hideous and no way to keep them clean when everyone was still using blue chalk.
