Very very nice page AZB of Turninng Stone Live Coverage <<<<<<<<<<

Except the streaming today has been a total disaster

The stream dropped during thorsten's match overran dozen times and has been down since Shawn Wilkie's match ended almost 20 minutes ago.

I appreciate the work, dedication and expense of giving this product free to the fans. But at some point, the quality dictates whether its worth it or not. I'm not sure at what causes these problems, but perhaps if a ppv model remedies this it might be the better option.

Wrong !

The Turning Stone is having issues with the internet.

Seen it before !

Anyway the page IS nice, very nice. AND the topic here !!!!!

DUDE.

The results are still the same for the end user.

And yes, the page is exceptional.

Well if you can talk CW into giving Accu-Stats what they need instead of filling both pockets then the 14.1 would be 1000 times better !

Trying to convince Charlie of a lot of things. That I couldn't is why I discontinued financing the tournament.

What I can say is that no one is making any money from that 14.1 event. It's been a labor of love. Had it been run differently on the business side, it would of have been self sustaining at least. That it is not is clearly because Charlie did not heed my recommendations.

Bravo!

BEST VERY BEST place to watch a live stream.

Stream, chat, and livescoring all on this page.

Also a icon to see the brackets.

Well said. Jerry Forsyth and Pat Fleming both deserve our thanks. And even though it's true that I once lived in Forsythe County and I used to fantasize, as a kid, about Peggy Fleming, I'm not a relative of either. As we all know, Pat received well-deserved admission into the Billiard Hall of Fame and who knows, AZ is so important to the game we love tnat maybe there's room for Jerry too. I hope so.
Thanks guys, you're the best.

I have been to Turning Stone many times, and they do have bandwidth/connection problems from time to time. The casino itself is in the middle of Oneida Indian Nation.

If anybody speaks to Ray Halbritter, head of Turning Stone, whatever you do, do *not* mention the Washington Redskins. He's trying to get the name of the team changed. :embarrassed2:

I miss Maynard Gabriel. He passed away a few years ago and was always a mainstay in pool up in that area. I cannot imagine going to Turning Stone and not seeing him. It hurts.

One day at the Joss tournament in Turning Stone, he saw me snapping pictures and said, "Please take my picture tomorrow. I'm going to be dressed in my very best hand-made suit and jewelry." Of course, I said, 'Absolutely yes." RIP, Maynard. You are missed but never forgotten, my friend.:)

I agree that the name of the Redskins should be changed. Here's a list of my suggestions for all the NFC East teams.

1. GIANTS - Perfect name for the perfect organization.
2. Cowpies or perhaps Cowgirls. There should be a vote.
3. Beagles. They sure look more like beagles than eagles.
4. Foreskins. Because I think redskins is offensive and the owner is a d**khead.

Oh, and more to the topic, I think it's great anytime we get to see great players slugging it out. So thank you to whomever is responsible for making it happen. Despite whatever hiccups may occur it is still great that these matches are available.

I am pretty sure that SOMEONE is making money on that event.

Mike

It's definitely possible to show a loss and still have individuals making money. It's all about accounting techniques and what expenses you choose to list to offset against the income. There are many ways to legally show a loss. 'Administrative Expenses' are always interesting to look at. An event can declare a loss while those involved still get their share. And they'd be absolutely legally correct to say that the event lost money.

But that's about another topic and not Turning Stone.

I like everything about Turning Stone, especially Mike Zuglin, who sticks by his beliefs. Whether you agree or disagree with him, he lays his cards on the table. I admire that.
