Now, I'm sure all of you are going to view these HOUR-LONG videos, and it is going to get you excited enough to gobuy some videos, right?

Russ

(Who just BOUGHT $400.00 worth of Accu-Stats videos last night, instead of outright stealing them..SOMEbody's got to keep Pat in business..)
What part of: "I looks like the person/company that posted all those matches is BCN (Billiard Blub Network) who as far as I know, owns the rights to the content that it put up on you tube"

don't you understand? they own the rights, they aren't taking money away from accu-stats.

If you feel so strongly about copyright protection you should go work for the american recording industry.

And I'm sure everyone made SURE it was BCN before they started viewing the videos.

Why does it matter to you? Even "if" THIS particular youtube user is BCN, all they are doing is servicing the people who have been stealing from them already..

I just talked with Pat. He was totally unaware of this user. He said it "might" be BCN, but there are certain agreements as to what BCN can and can not do with the matches.

He is going to talk to his BCN contact and check to see if all agreements are being adhered to.

I don't think he was terribly thrilled to see "Hours and Hours" in the title.

Wow. Why are you being such an a$$hole? This is quite possibly the greatest thread of the year! I've had a blast wasting my entire Wednesday watching all of these great matches. Pat should take notice and perhaps open a pay website where we can watch these great matches over and over - IMO either get with the program or sit back and watch people do this. It has actualy motivated me to buy more stuff from Accu-stats, so I guess its a real "stake in the heart" for Fleming, isn't it? Give me a break!

Question for you, Dave.. When you were running a business, did you allow people to tell you how to run your business? If I remember correctly, you didn't..

And when you didn't listen to a customer, did you allow him to then steal the product? Didn't think so.

I find your post, as it comes from an EX business owner, somewhat hypocritical.

The point is Russ, that a lot of people have enoyed viewing these matches on youtube and you have decided to play video policeman. It has nothing to do with my business at all. Many people have bootleg copies of my books and instructional material. It comes with the territory and I am willing to accept that.

When your product is made public, you always run the risk of somebody copying it and providing others with an unauthorized copy. Like I said, it has been done with my books and instructional material. That's life.

Hypocritical? I'd rather be hypocritical in your eyes than to be the forum A-hole of the month in everybody else's eyes. Congratulations on the award by the way.

Kerry,

Come on now.. You're a professional player.. You should know better than this..

I don't want to download pool videos, silly -- I don't even play pool anymore. (Notice my tag line!) I want to download opera and Broadway clips (and believe me, I would buy them if the ones I wanted were available for purchase). There are things on Youtube that are free anyway or unavailable for purchase, and it would be nice to have them. I do apologize if it seemed my initial post was advocating downloading unauthorized Accu-Stats videos; however, even if I were interested in the videos in the original post, my understanding is that they were posted by BCN, and therefore not pirated.

I do not condone the pirating of anything, and if those are Accu-Stats videos then it is a travesty (and hopefully a lawsuit). I've known Pat for a long time and would definitely purchase videos from Accu-Stats if I still had an interest in them -- he provides a fantastic service and should reap the financial rewards he's entitled to.

However, I must admit that I'm quite curious as to how it's possible to download from Youtube, when it says right on the Web site that you can't.

Blackjack... Somehow I am thinking you didn't have to buy many thousands of dollars in equipment, and pay multiple salaries in order to print your books.

It's people like you who are eventually going to drive Pat Fleming out of business.

You were a policeman, huh? And you're okay with stealing intellectual property? NIIIIICE!

Sweet! I was so hoping you weren't supporting these guys..

We've played before, Kerry.. When you were a "Hartsfield".. You were a pretty cool little lady, and I am glad to hear you support Pat. It gives me hope to find out there are still moral people in the world...

Too bad yer not still playing, Kerry.. You put a little heat on me in one of the EndZone barbox tourneys... Those were the days, eh? I am hoping to move back to Washington someday. I am thinking about getting with Harry Platis and getting some advice on what would be a good business to open up in the area.
