Kerry just copy and paste the url of hte video on youtube into the link box on vixy.. then select the format of download. Either AVI or MP3......then click convert...........then the link will pop up for download..............NOW sometimes it works and others it doesnt IE: like bandwith probs and such but every video and song I ever downloaded worked fine with no virus issues for me.........

BCN may have put the videos up, and they may well be within their rights. But until that has been established, I see anyone downloading or viewing those clips as thieves of intellectual property.

All I know, is Pat sure as hell didn't know anyone was putting ENTIRE MATCHES on youtube, and you all seem to have a massive problem with someone telling him that.

No one has mentioned it yet, but I would guess the sponsers who's ads are running during the whole thing are grinning ear to ear about more exposure for their advertising dollar. Quite frankly, I would be a bit ticked about purchasing a video that ends up being more of a info-mercial for pool stuff with some shots of real pool in the middle of it. But for free, I will put up with the info-mercial.

I was gonna write a big reply here, but it ended up being a separate topic.

I gotta say that I get a laugh out of how every forum has That One Dude who always seems to draw fire from the other members like 12 hours a day. I think some people just thrive on it. I'm not saying it's a good thing or a bad thing, just interesting to me from a sort of Jane Goodall standpoint

People will say it's no defense, but the only reason I'm not spending money on accustats right this second is because I don't have it to spend. A lot of people don't have 400 bucks of expendible income. So while I'm waiting for 30 bucks to accumulate in my couch cushions, I'm gonna 'steal' some of those videos from youtube. Right now my choices are free and instant low quality videos or relatively expensive 3-day-wait high quality videos. I really wish I had an in-between alternative, like a relatively cheap paid download that was about 2 or 3 times the quality of youtube even if it's half the quality of a DVD.

Russ, Have you established a fact that BCN didn't put up those videos? Just spare yourself all the trouble since you can't access youtube anyways. just let Pat do his thing since he's the one who knows for sure if it's pirated or not or does it concern his business.

excess, your generalization of people viewing or downloading those clips as thieves of intellectual property are plainly far-fetched, in the eyes of the judicial system and even in the eyes of a common individual. guess you are not aware of the line "an individual is presumed innocent until he is proven guilty of a crime in the court of law". you are simply back to your old habit of pointing fingers again.
