Vintage Black four-pointer -- price drop

CUE HAS BEEN SOLD
CUE HAS BEEN SOLDB]
CUE HAS BEEN SOLD[/B] CUE HAS BEEN SOLD

I had this Black on eBay and it sold for $1125. I then thought I had it sold again to another unserious buyer....
Anyway, I am offering it for a third time, for $1025, which includes shipping... the cue has some real dazzling veneer work (natural, green, aqua blue, black).
The cue plays like a monster and has a super solid hit. If I remember correctly, this cue is a half-spliced.
One of the shafts is curly maple, and you will probably really enjoy this one. Both shafts are 13 mm and have Kamui medium tips.
The points and butt are a dark rosewood. The joint is stainless steel (5/16 x 14 pin). Custom JPs are included. The cue weighs around 19.7 or 19.8 ounces (I do not have a postal scale, but that's what it feels like).
The cue is in fantastic shape -- there might be a sliver of light under one of the shafts, but it's negligible and due to the shaft taper -- I would rate this cue at 99 percent.
I'm also open to trades.

looks to be one of his older works because of the ring collor veneers work ain't silver ring i'd say it's full splice over coverd by the rap :)

the frist shaft to the top isn't a black because the fitting it's piloted big enuff after market?

I've been asked to add a photo of the cue's butt....it's the cue on the far right in the group photo (the Lambros, and Cocobola Hoppe style Jensen cue have been sold. The Schick and the Black in this thread are still for sale. As for the full-spliced part, I really don't know. I bought the cue from a reputable seller a while back and was told it is a full-splice. All I know is the cue plays super solid.)

hey did you ever sell that Lambros. I was watching it on ebay and then you stopped the auction so I bought something else then noticed it went back on with a different price. I was going to bid but it still had 2 days on it when you pulled it. Just curious.

That's a great looking Richard Black Cue. I sent this thread to a friend of mine to see if he wanted to buy it.poolrod.

Its actually a 'Half Splice'...If you were to remove the wrap, the splice would end half way down the handle. It is the old way of doing cues. Compared to today's 'V-Groove' points.

You are correct. I pulled it down and relisted it as a buy-it-now/best offer. I was tired of the eBay games. The cue sold shortly afterward.

Joe, Nice cue. It kooks like a cue that Roland Garcia was selling a couple of years ago. If i'm right, does anyone know Roland and how to contact him? Bob C.
