Thought this one would be thought provoking. Who is the person you want to be at a tournament or gambling where you are? The most entertaining. The most hysterically funny. The craziest. Please briefly list why, also. I will begin with:

Tony Watson "the barstool bet" ( I can't go into that one)

Charlie Brinson "just plain crazy"

McCready "we all know why"

Ottis Moore "more tales than anyone"

Joe Root "something is gonna happen"

Canadian Joe Lawrence "after running out in a tournament, I actually saw him ride the horse around the table" Whatever happened to that guy?

I watched Durbin take a walking stick from a player that just beat him...and then turned right around and bet it against the guy who just gave it to him.

Well, of course, I have my favorite! :D

There's a whole slew of others that come to mind that I enjoy seeing in the pit. :p

Bobby Pickle - Good sense of humor, knows how to instigate a game, and loves to gab.

Shannon Daulton - Thoroughbred American player with a whole lot of killer instict and a sense of humor to match.

Alex Pagulayan - Never a dull moment, and he's the ultimate entertainer.

Raj Hundal - Eye candy for the lady railbirds.

Liljon - Can makes things happen, has no fear, and likes to bet as high as the Georgia pine.

Cliff Joyner - Drives his opponents nuts with crazy spots, but when he's in stroke, it's harmony in motion.

Evgeny Stalev - Though he can't speak English very well, his facial expressions say it all. I adore this Russian champion.

Tony Chohan - Powerful one-hole game, learned the ropes from old-school players, this gentle giant loves big action.

Jose Parica - Dead serious gambler, but when Jose is winning and smiles, the whole world smiles with him.

Tony Watson - Never disappoints when he's in the pit, and one never knows what game Tony will bring forth, but when he's in stroke, he's beautiful.

Marcus Chamat - Loves to have a good time, loves to gamble, and is one funny character, this "Little Napoleon" from Sweden.

Dennis Hatch - A strong bark, with a bite to match, quite entertaining if his girlfriend happens to be sitting railside.

Fabio Petroni - Though he's quiet as a church mouse most times, if he does happen growl at his opponent, all eyes will be focused on this Italian Stallion, a real firecracker.

Scotty Townsend - Raw guts and gives it his all, no matter what the stakes are.

Charlie Bryant - Gotta love his sweet Texas drawl, but when he's in the action pit, he can become deadly.

Ronnie Wiseman - Everything really is funny when he's winning big money.

Earl Strickland - Love him or hate him, when Earl is in the pit, it's as if Elvis just entered the building.

Steve

Steve is the guy I most want to see. He was always chasing a new experience. We played pool every oddball way that came to mind. Mop handles, brooms, weird games or rules, . . . and he would bet.

He left town owing me 80K for a single game of eight ball on a bar table, he wanted to know what a high stakes game felt like. The climate got a little too warm for him in big BR, the sad thing is there is a fair chance he would have paid up. I knew Steve in my younger days and he dabbled in the marketing of agricultural products and recreational pharmaceuticals, neither of which bothered me across a pool table at the time.

I'm sure the joke has been said before, but one of the funniest lines I ever heard was from Charlie Brinson at one of JOB's tournaments a few years back. Don Stevens asked Charlie where he was staying, and Charlie replied, " A room? Damn Don, it's only a 3 day tournament".

It would have to be Keith McCready but with Earl Strickland a close second.

I love seeing Charlie on the tournament trail, and his significant other is a sweet lady, too.

You only have to meet him one time, and when you do, EVERYBODY loves Charlie Brinson! He is the life of the party! :D

With these two characters in the pit, you can be sure there will be some entertainment. :p

Earl likes playing Keith. He plays a little looser than he normally does and plays good, too. Seems like every time they do match up in a tournament, it's a hard-fought match. Last time they drew each other in a tournament, it went hill-hill, with Earl coming out on top. Keith scratched on the break, dag nab it! :p

As far as 'Most Entertaining', sure Keith is up there and Earl can't be overlooked, but you also can't forget Gypsy. He is truly one of the funniest guys around a table. His banter is comical as hell! One of the funniest bmatches I think I've ever seen was between Keith and Gypsy (Valley Forge, 2 yrs. ago?). The chatter between the two of them had the entire crowd entertained.

I laughed my ass off watching Scooter (from AL I think) play in Atlanta. He always has to have to juke box going and dancing around as he runs out. At one point after a runout, he tore his T-shirt off and screamed at the top of his lungs....it was a site to see.
