Waiting on you at home Fatboy!

The GC in the pics is the GC5 I just set up at Fatboy's this last weekend, the GC4 was taken out, it's going to Colorado this week into another home. Yes, it's in my plans to stop by JimS on my way from the Diamond factory to Rapid City, SD. Once I get done with this next Diamond delivery, I plan on spending the rest of this year on the east coast, as there's a lot of tables back there, as well as mechanic's I'd like to spend some time working on...and working with.

Glen

Looking forward to meeting you Glen!!

I have the rubber and the cloth (860hr) for my friend and, as I remember our discussion, you said you have the rubber and cloth for my damaged cushion so I guess we're set. Just let me know as far in advance as possible please. I want to be able to schedule the day so I have no appointments. A Friday or Monday would be great!

Are we replacing "1" cushion on your table Jim, or just the rail cloth?

Now that you mention it I think it's just the cloth that's nicked so we should be good just replacing the cloth. Then you were going to tighten the cloth on the table.. if it needs it by your estimation.

In order to mount the pocket castings flush you have to remove some of the wood where they mount, and shim the castings to fit like this. Factory don't fit this good.

Props to you for your craftsmanship Glen, but in this day and age of CNC machinery it boggles the mind that a company like Brunswick can't get their tolerances better, especially on their flagship commercial/tournament table.

I recall hearing that Gabriels build their tables on CNC systems so accurately the parts are interchangeable from one table to the next.

Diamond builds their tables using CNC machines as well, but no matter what, it still takes the right design to make a table perfect. If the people that designed some of these tables had to WORK on them, I'm sure they'd have a different opinion as to how to redesign them as to make them right;)
