WATCH THE WPC LIVE via INTERNET!!!

First post :)

For those on Linux, you could try the p2p streaming client here:
www.sopcast.org. You could launch the client using the command
line (there are instructions along with the package), then play
the feed using any stream capture programs you have (realplay,
mplayer.. etc). You could also use the GUI client here:
http://linuxtoy.org/archives/gtk_sopcast.html , so you could
conveniently browse the channels.
The site also had an mswindows client, though I'm not sure how it
works.
Watching De Luna (PHI) and Uzzell (ENG) right now. Almost perfect.

I can't believe some of the shots these guys are making, or should I say missing.

I've seen so many guys flat hook THEMSELVES. And that shot Efren missed earlier to lose the match was just amazing.

Watch the WPC 2006 LIVE from Manila!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just got this info from the official matchroom forum (thanks C2).

1. Go to http://www.download.com/TVU-Player/3...-10584888.html
and dowload TVU player 2.2.

2. Choose ESPN Asia and you are in.

Who has installed the application already? Are you all ready for tonight?
After downloading and installing the TVU-player, when I try to launch it, I get the following two error messages:
1. The TVUPLAYER.EXE is linked to missing export USER32.DLL:SetLayeredWindowAttributes.
2. C:\Program Files\TVUPlayer\TVUPlayer.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning.

Can someone tell me how to resolve these two error conditions? Thanks.

What windows are you using? XP ME 2000 NT 95? What is your connection? what version of the install program are you using?

If you are using an older version of windows, like 95 or ME, this may be the problem.

I would first try uninstalling it "completely", then reinstalling it. You might even want to go get a fresh copy of the installation file from another site to do a fresh install.

If that doesn't work, you could always try an older version of the program. You can get the 1.5 version here:

Let me see how Jeff Deluna plays :D I have heard good things about this 22-year old Filipino

I just caught Jeff "Bata" de Luna won his match against Kevin Uzzell on TVU.
this kid will go places! His break is awesome! He always park his CB in the
middle of the table, while pocketing 4 or 5 balls at the break!

I have a cable broadband connection. I'm using Windows ME. I did try installing and uninstalling the 2.2.0 software twice.

After attempting to download and install 1.5.12, I got the following runtime error:
Program: ...\TVUPLAYER_1.5.12_20060210\TVUPLAYER_1.5.12_20060209.EXE
The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Help!

Sounds like this program has issues with ME. There may be nothing you can do.

This is the home site of the player, you may have to go there and look for contact info for help. But it is not coming up me right now.

After rebooting my computer and trying to launch the application, I got the following error message:
Explorer has caused an error in HSPFCW32.DLL. Explorer will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting my computer.

Twice this has locked up my computer.

So unless you have any other suggestions, I do appreciate your help though.

Thanks Jeff. This link works fine. I'm looking forward to checking out the action later today. :)

This link is for the STAR SPORTS (Channel 10006) on the TVU player. The WPC games were shown over the ESPN ASIA which is on a different channel on TVU (channel 10005). When I tried star sports channel 10006 last night over at TVU, I did not see any WPC matches. I am not saying that the WPC matches will not be telecast over star sports. It just might be on a different schedule though and might not be for the 11 hours straight (4 hours replay followed by 7 hours LIVE) starting at 7 pm EST that ESPN Asia is showing.

I was looking at it a while ago and saw soccer which was on my player, but turns out it was a different soccer game. I looked again and don't see tha Asia espn on there in the choices. I'll keep checking.

ESPN Asia (TVU) WPC broadcast schedule

For those following the WPC through video streaming (TVU player) on ESPN Asia: Note that although we are still getting 11 hours (4 hours replay plus 7 hours live), there is some time between each session - not straight like the previous days.

According to this schedule from the WPC website, tv games will start at 2 pm Philippine time. That means, it is going to be 1 am US EST before the first game will start. Efren will be up against Roy Apancho from Indonesia.

http://www.worldpoolchampionship.com...ay Three.pdf

However, based on the ESPN Star website, they will not start the LIVE coverage until 3 am tomorrow morning. Here is the schedule which is different from last night's coverage:

6 pm EST Replay of Day 2 - Session one 2 hours 6 pm to 8 pm
11 pm EST Replay of Day 2 - Session two 2 hours 11 pm to 1 am

LIVE Coverage will not begin until 3 am tomorrow morning as follows:

3 am (monday) LIVE Day 3 - session one 3-1/2 hrs. 3 am to 6:30 am
8 am (monday) LIVE Day 3 - session two 3-1/2 hrs. 8 am to 11:30 am

You can access the schedule by going to this link:

Jeff,

ESPN Asia and Star Sports are 2 different channels. I just verified it when I clicked on the link you provided earlier and then opened ESPN Asia on my TVU player. They were broadcasting different shows. But if you click on the Channel 1006 below ESPN Asia, which is star sports, that is the exact match of the broadcast without the tvu player.
